How is Liberty Tree Tavern?

I'm totally excited about eating here. I had some reservations ( no pun intended) about eating at LTT after reading a few reviews, but all of the pictures look great and I LOVE this kind of food.

Are the mashed potatoes plain - as in no skins? My kids love mashed potatoes, but they can't get past the skins when they are mashed into the mix. They just don't get that there is really no taste difference. Picky, picky!

I like it there. I prefer the food at lunch, but the food at dinner is not bad, it's just not that special.

We did LTT in Oct. right before MNSSHP and loved it! The characters were good and some even came by twice! We enjoyed all the food, and I remember the mashed potatoes being plain. Cobbler and ice cream for dessert were to die for. We had ADRs for about 4:30 p.m. and only had to wait a few minutes for our table.

I can totally relate! LTT was our first character meal and we were hooked, we have gone back ever since! The food was good for us, the mac n cheese that is Stouffers was good. The dressing is delicious and DH loved the dessert.
LTT has wonderful character interaction and we just love when they call your faminly name to be seated.

Gets me every time.
:cheer2:

I would be willing to bet that the dressing is Stove Top and we love it!! :lovestruc The kids love the Stouffers mac n' cheese at LLT but wont touch it at home. Must have something to do with the atmosphere.;)

My only little tiny complaint would be that it is definately time to replace the carpet on the stairs and refurbish the bathrooms!! :goodvibes

We eat at LTT during the "parties"....Halloween and Christmas...and it is ALWAYS delicious. We love it every year and can't think of one bad thing to say about it.

We really like LTT & have always gone there for dinner. We went there this past Sept, and as usual, had a great time. The food is good - I especially enjoy the dinner rolls w/honey butter. Our server was fantastic - we had the dining plan so the tip was included, but we left him an extra tip on top of that. The character interaction was very good - no complaints - they spent plenty of time w/us. Of course, we already have our ADR for this year's trip.

We ate there before MVMCP a few years ago and it was just so-so. It was not bad just nothing special. I guess I would say to give it a try.

We were there in Jan 08. (very recent) and a few times before that.... We do not have any bad things to say about the place.... The food is simple and no it is not the best food ever... It is pretty good food... I love the salad, bread, mac n cheese, and veggies... The turkey is also pretty good... DH likes the steak (I don't eaet steak so I have no opinion).... But I cannot tell you it is the best food on property...

The atmosphere is really nice, the character interaction is very good and you get endless amounts of the foods you enjoy.... We also like that this is one of the few character meals that is NOT a buffet... The service has always been good...

By the way, you can order chicken strips if you have picky kids at your table... The chicken is not on the menu but they will bring it if you ask and it is VERY GOOD.

I say go!

We Love LTT, My Dh is so pickey and request this place everytime... This year we too are going before MNSSHP...:cool1:

LTT is the only TS resturant we eat at in the MK. We only do lunches there because we are not fans of character meals. We have always enjoyed lunch, good food and service and a great break from the busy park.

We tried it for dinner last year and thought it was just ok. Not one that we would return to. If it's something you want to try, you should. I never go by reviews - if I did, I would have missed some great places (that others didn't think were so great :) ).

It'll be our first trip to WDW end of May and we made lunch reservations at LTT. Happy to read all the good reviews. :)

We had dinner there and LOVED it! No, it's not 5 star cuisine but it sure did taste good after a full day in the parks!

Even my ultra picky son was silent as he woofed down a little bit of everything offered!

We always eat at LTT. This year we're doing the dinner. My family loves it, loves the atmosphere, the characters, the home style food.

New here- but not a fan either- maybe it was just the time we went. I'd say to try it and make your own opinion of it- some don't like it- some LOVE it.

My beefs:
*BATHROOMS- is that where your cook and server is washing his/her hands??? OMG they were terrible, all the toilets were clogged, bathroom tiny, dirty, upstairs and had a terribly long line- ewwwwww!!! I expect much better from WDW!!!
*FOOD- mediocre at best (we went for dinner) dry, bland, tasted like it had been under heat lamps for a loooong time.

Good things:
CHARACTER INTERACTION: great for the kids, that's their whole reason for sitting through a meal :)
RIGHT BY PARADE: we were able to see the parade from the front porch after dinner- excellent viewing area!!! Too bad the windows are "colonial style" (ie can't see through them) we sat and ate by a window, but couldn't see out- it would be one of the best seats at WDW for the nightly parade if you could see out.

Try, you might like it......
