How is Labor Day/early September?

Right now, I'm thinking we should probably hold off arriving until Wednesday, September 4th to avoid the Labor Day crowds. But ideally, we'd like to arrive Monday, September 2nd (Labor Day). I guess we *could* deal with crowds for one day.

Would the hotel rates be cheaper if we held off until Wednesday -- thinking of staying at DH @ the AP rate?

we ALWAYS go the week after Labor Day! In fact we were there 9-11 last year and we flew in on the Sunday after Labor Day and even for a weekend it was NOT crowded at all. Typically this time is when all the refurbishments are scheduled but so far it hasnt been to bad! We trade it off for LESS people and it is so worth it! Last year on Monday 9-10 we went into DL and the longest wait for Indiana Jones was 15 min and the reason for that was the LONG walk to the cars! It was nice to not encounter long lines and we rarely used the FP except in rare circumstances like Autopia or SOMETIMES Splash Mountain! It was great and was NOT hot during the day! It was warm but not uncomfortable! We love this time of year!!! We try to go every year (although this year we are venturing to WDW and the Disney Cruise in November and hoping for good timing then too) but we always go right after Labor Day and love it! In fact in DCA we stayed ON the Roller Coaster and rode it 3 consecutive times without getting off that is how uncrowded it was!
