how is kona cafe dinner?

Thanks all for your replies! I think I'm going to stick with Kona breakfast before MK opens. We are not doing the party this year
Kids just to little to stay awake past 9pm and for 2 hrs, just not worth $$$ this go round
I'll keep looking for another nice restaurant for dinner, we have to settle in early for dinner between 6-7 for kiddos, not easy to do.

Took the family to eat there last trip and the bread was good but the sushi was not good at all because the rice was crunchy. The lapu lapu was definitely the star of the meal but it didnt seem to have any alcohol in it. The service was good but the waitress was from way up north I guess (not trying to offend anyone)because she kept saying "oh yah" after everything so it kinda killed the tropical feel.

I like Kona when we are staying at the poly or on the monorail, that's about as far as I'd go for it, since a couple of the members of my family like it and a couple do not. I had a great allergy friendly meal there which I though was a big enough portion for me, however a couple of the guys in our party thought the portions were to small.

Overall though, if I'm in the area I'll eat there since I know I can get a good allergy friendly meal.

Following along. We have a 530 pm ADR for Kona this year. Plan to try to get in to Trader sams before hand.

We went there a couple weeks ago and it was pretty good! I had the crab rangoon sushi which I thought was delicious and I also have another sushi roll which I recommend you stay away from. It was like a cali roll but had crab, avocado and pineapple i think.

it just had a very bizarre taste.....

We've had bfast lunch and dinner there and thought they were all pretty good- I like the atmosphere better than Ohana, which seems so hectic to me.
