Hi everyone
I was really wanting to try this restaurant, but haven't read any current reviews on it, so how is it and is it worth 2 TS credits???:thumbsup2

Jiko is our favorite restaurant at Disney. I'm not a seafood person so my favs are the short ribs, the filet, the pork tenderloin, and the lamb shank. DH like seafood and has ordered a couple of seafood dishes (can't remember which ones) that he's really liked. They have a fantastic wine list as well

JIKO is an excellent restaurant with an almost entire adult only clientele. The restaurant is dark, intimate, quiet with an interesting menu and an outstanding wine selection. Our most recent meal there two months ago took 2 hours and was very romantic. Loved it.

Is it worth 2 credits? IMO, No. The appetizers are the best things on the menu here which are not included in the dining plan. To just get an entree and dessert, I do not think you get your money's worth.

I haven't been to Jiko since last April, but it was a wonderful experience and I'd happily pay the double TS credits - or the cash - to enjoy it again. The food was outstanding, the service perfect (exactly the right balance between attentiveness and leaving me alone to enjoy the meal). If you want a meal that takes time to be relaxing and indulgent, in the gorgeous setting of AKL, it's well worth the cost.

I think we are gonna give it a try, we are doing the Deluxe dining plan so we do get appetizers and desserts.....that is the only way I will use 2 TS credits is because of the deluxe plan.....looking forward to it:thumbsup2

SPECTACULAR. One of the best steaks in WDW. Good wine selection too.

Jiko is our favorite restaurant on property as well. It is unique in many of it's dishes but they are excellent. The filet is out of this world. The tomato and onion salad is also another unique winner!:thumbsup2 We've been dining here since it's "early" days when they had they're amazing monkfish and their salmon. I discovered "edamame" here and dd discovered salad LOL!:thumbsup2

Their wines are also excellent as are their margaritas! The service has always been very good and the atmosphere is comfortable. I've been taking dd here since she was 4 so it's also kid-friendly. We try to eat here whenever we visit WDW. It's on our ADR list for our next trip too.;)
