princess: pirate: ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo Too Fun! I never knew how you all got those pictures on your post!

Anyway, we are looking at spending 2 weeks off site the last of Jan, into Feb. I know some go regularly at that time and was wondering what to expect crowd and weather wise.

Thank you VERY MUCH!

Meg

noodleknitter,

January and February are our favorite time to visit WDW. The crowds are nearly non-existent, with short waits for all but a few of the most popular rides. On our last February trip we only used Fast-Pass one time.

When planning your days at WDW, you do have to factor in shortened hours at the parks during that time of year.

The weather can be quite nice with comfortable days and cool nights , with very little rain. But if a cold spell pops up, it can be surprisingly cold for the deep south.

Have Fun:wave:

Dh and I spent a week in WDW during the third week of January04. It was great! Short lines, no crowds, and we never used fastpass. As posted before, the weather was cooler..I wore jeans and tshirts and DH wore short BUT at night it was cold we had sweatshirts on.

The parks arent open as late as stated before but I think its worth the low crowds. I know you will enjoy going this time of year and may not want to go back during peak times! We sure dont...we go in Sept and Jan if we go to the World!

Enjoy and have fun!:earsboy:

We went the 3rd week on January 2001. We did EE at Mk one morning and rode everything 2x in Fantasyland by the time the rest of the park opened. It was unusually warm that year, (80's for most of our stay) so we were able to swim after an afternoon in the park. If we weren't going to MVMCP this year, we would go the end of January.

Have a great time!

We went the last week of Jan. - first week of Feb. in 2003 and it was PERFECT! Low crowds, great weather everyday...could go in the pools during the day, at night needed a light sweater. We went the same period in 2004 and--what a difference! We had about 3 days of windy, rainy weather and needed a sweater or jacket each day (my son and I both came down with sinus infections, too!) Anyway, now my opinion is that it's iffy----might be great, might be less than great.

Thanks a bunch! It is nice to have some extra opinions! I just plain hate winter and the idea of escaping it for a couple of weeks is inspiring!
