We were there for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day last month. Stayed at the Dolphin (great deal! right around $150 plus tax). We didn't go to the MK because we thought it would be horrifically crowded, but we did go to Epcot and MGM and didn't think the crowds were bad at all.
We were there for the same time frame last month. I didn't think the crowds got too unbearable until 12/30. We were there with 4 kids so that may have had a little something to do with my view point by then. We skipped the parks altogether on 12/25 so I can't help you there.
We were there this past Dec. 23-26, Christmas Eve day was okay at MK, but that night it was just ridiculous, we didn't even stay for all of Wishes. Christmas Day we were in EPCOT, and it was probably the lightest crowd I've ever seen there, but I here MK is really crowded from Dec. 25 thru New Years Day.
It does tend to be busier during that time frame. That is one of the times of year when they actually close the parks due to the amount of people already admitted.
I think it all depends on weather or not you've been to WDW before. We went during that week once and enjoyed it very much. BUT, we've been to the world many times and so we weren't disappointed if we didn't get to ride everything and see everything. We just relaxed and enjoyed the Christmas experience. We toured all the resorts and downtown Disney to see all the beautiful decorations. If you've never been there at Christmas time then you should go. But now that I've been there at that time of year I'll probably never go that week again.
