Is anyone there now and can tell me how busy (or not!) the parks are? wait times, etc??

We have friends there now. They just called tonight. They spent the day at MGM. Walked right onto Tower of Terror. It's there first visit so they don't have anything to compare it to but they say it doesn't seem crowded to them. Yesterday they did Epcot and said it wasn't crowded. Tomorrow Magic Kingdom so I am anxious to see what they say about that.

We were there 9/14-9/19. At Epcot on 9/16, Magic Kingdom 9/17. Waits were nonexistent at Epcot. DH walked on to Mission:Space. At MK, we had done all the rides (excluding Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, BTMRR) by 11 (within 2 hours). Good thing, too, because the crowds picked up some after lunch. We waited 30 min for Peter Pan (one of DS' favorites) in the afternoon; in the am it was a walk-on. Never waited more than 2 minutes for Barnstormer (DS' alltime favorite for this trip); I think we rode it about 9 times, with virtually no wait each time. Saturday and Sunday we weren't in the parks, but judging by the parking lots, you'd have a 10-15 minute wait for popular attractions. Still very doable. Enjoy!

I was at 3 parks on Sunday missed EPCOT and it id dead. We walked onto most rides.

We were there last week. Walked onto EVERYTHING, Dumbo, Peter Pan....we even rode Pooh 2x in a row (without getting off) because there was no one else there!

My DH walked onto RNR & Test Track.

Have a great trip!

Right now temps are in the upper 80's it is really nice, but we are going through the remnants on Ivan...if you can believe that. Ivan came back to rain on us from the other side.

Here was the article from the news about Ivan (I could hardly believe it)

MIAMI -- Days after vicious Hurricane Ivan ripped through Florida, a shred of the storm circled back south and brought more rain Monday to the storm-weary state.

Hurricane Ivan hit Florida Thursday, spawning deadly tornadoes and crunching communities with 130 mph wind. The storm weakened and broke apart as it traveled north, drenching southern and mid-Atlantic states before returning to the ocean.

Though most of Ivan drifted away, one part turned southward, growing slightly as it traveled over warmer waters before reaching Florida's southeastern coast.

The storm dropped one to two inches on some parts of Florida Monday, and was expected to cross into the Gulf of Mexico by Tuesday morning, said Brian Jarvinen, a forecaster at the National Hurricane Center.

"We're going to wait and watch and see what happens," he told The Associated Press. "There's a chance that it may develop into a system, possibly into a depression."

If the storm strengthens into a tropical depression, it will likely be renamed, Jarvinen said.

Gov. Jeb Bush, returning from a tour of the damaged Panhandle region, noted the remnant's return for a mild second slap at the state.

Anyway, this week is upper 80's but it is supposed to go back to the 90's by next week. Crowds are really low on the weedays but the weekends (and Spectro nights) are still busy...not summertime busy, but they bring waits rather than walk ons :)

I just feel so bad for you guys down there! Thanks for the tip about the temp!
