The wife and I are WDW vets, but have only done DL once (8 years ago).
We are taking a break from WDW and heading to DL. Can the DL experts out there tell me about crowds/weather for Nov 1-6?
We are staying at a good neighbor hotel across the street, and get the idea that we can walk everywhere.
Thank you in advance!!!

We were there Nov 2-4 last year and it was perfect from a crowd and weather stand point. We were able to get everything done we wanted plus much more. We got to see a little bit of both Halloween and Christmas decorations. In fact, we loved seeing the decoration transformation that happened overnight. The downside was that the park hours were as short as they get (I think 10:00 - 8:00 at DCA and 10:00 - 9:00 at DL) and minimum entertainment offerings during the weekdays. Hours and entertainment picked up on the weekend though. Our weather was in the low-80's, though I think it can start to get cold that time of year. We wore sweatshirts in the evenings. It was a great time to go.

Also, yes, you can walk everywhere - especially if you are staying across the street.

ETA: the PP reminded me of Dapper Day. Forgot about that. We were not in the park for Dapper Day, but it was just fine leading up to it (Wed-Fri). If you have a break day in your schedule, this would be a good day to take a break. Or join in!!

I think dapper day is the 5th. We were there until the day before dapper day last year. Had a great trip.

You will have nice weather. The parks will be busy for Dapper Day. I believe they hold the convention/sales floor at DLH, so the grounds at DLH and downtown Disney will be very busy, too, towards the end of your trip. http://dapperday.com/

We're headed down for our first Dapper Day. How are the crowds on the days leading up to it (Thur-Sat)?

Dapper Days is from Nov 4 to 5, so expect fairly good sized crowds on the weekend - seeing all of the guests in the Dapper Day clothing is a lot of fun! The Día de los Muertos celebration in DCA ends on Nov 2, so if you want to see that, you'll need to check it out early in your trip (it's new this year). My guess is that Jungle Cruise and It's a Small World will likely still be closed getting their holiday overlay installed. There is a chance that Space Mountain will be closed for a day or two to have the Ghost Galaxy overlay removed. I would also guess that fireworks and F! are likely to be only presented on weekend nights (Fri, Sat, and Sun), but WoC will probably be nightly. When I've been there in November, the weather is usually pretty nice. Warm(ish) in the day and cool(ish) in the evenings (I would still bring layers just in case you're there when it's an unusually hot or cold spell).

OP here: thank you all for the information! I didn't know about Dapper Dan days, so that is cool. I knew hours would be shorter, especially weekdays. And busy on the weekends. But it's all good ! Counting down the days!

We've been that week the last two years. Crowds are great and weather is perfect.
I'm sure the day of dapper day will be nuts but I haven't found the days preceding it to be.
