We will be staying at GCH and using early entry. We are wondering how the crowds are going in from there or would it be better to go through DTD security and main entrance? Is it best to show up 10 min before EE or wait 15 min after it has started?

Cant say about GC but I've heard it's really slow. DTD has always been fast and super easy when we go 30 minutes early before rope drop. Where ever you go, go as early as possible. It gets more and more crowded as the day goes on.

We were there last year, the park entrance at GC line was huge. We went over to DTD and no one was there. Get there early.

You always want to be anywhere as early as possible... if you wait 15 minutes and then it takes 15 minutes to get in, you’ve missed half of EMH!

Use the main entrance and arrive at least 15 min before the park opens. If DL is already open or opening at the same time as DCA EMH (pretty common) know that security will be longer.

in theory if we are doing EMH for DCA, even if DL opens at the same time, the security going from GCH into DTD shouldn't be bad because most GCH guests might be doing the GCH to DCA entrance and not DL.
