How is DL for "pooh-sized" people?

How are the rides, seatbelts, and turnstiles at DL for bigger people? At WDW I feel as though things are pretty good and don't really have trouble except there is one turnstile at Haunted Mansion WDW that is really small. I heard this is because it is one of the only ones that haven't been updated.

Anything like this to watch out for at DL? Going for the first time and just wanting to know what to expect. Gotta make sure I can fit my fat butt in places!!!

Most rides for us pooh sized people are just fine, although the Pooh ride is a little tight. Talk about ironic! I have actually found the smaller I get the more I slide around and lift off seats!

the turnstiles can be a bit of a squeeze...Mr. Toad's Wild Ride comes instanly to mind. I tend to feel pretty penned in in the queue for Peter Pan, and then it has a narrow turnstile as well. In general, I think most of the queues are tighter at DL than at WDW....even when I "fit" I feel like I am too close to the people in the line going the other way of the zig/zag...KWIM?

DH and I were just commenting on how the Haunted Mansion is set up so much better in DL than in WDW, where just before you board the doom buggies they squeeze you through a small area. An small person with a small child could not fit through there, so I can see that being difficult for a Pooh sized person. But in DL, they have it nicely queued and you are not forced to fit thorugh a small area.

I think the queues on Peter Pan, Snow White, Pinocchio and Mr. Toad are all tight when you get into the building part...but everyone looks uncomfortable, shuffling kinda sideways. Those are the ones I feel very squeezed in and the turnstile is very small..like you stand on your tiptoes to bypass/lift up your gut to make it through. These are the only ones that come to mind.

Space Mountain is pretty tight, there is not much room on that ride at all. Mulholland Madness is for sure really tight. Matterhorn may be okay on roominess. California Screaming has more room than all of those rides.

For the Pooh ride, avoid the front row. That seems to be smaller, and is difficult for bigger people, and people with knee problems. Go for the middle or back row, instead.

DH has not been able to ride Maliboomer and Mulholland Madness. He has a big belly, and a broad, thick back, and the combo won't let the clip on Maliboomer clip in. The shoulder harness on it is the same as Screamin' (which he can ride) but the clip just needs an extra inch to get from the U of the harness to the seat. MM...it wasn't so much his belly but his big ol' sumo legs...if he'd had skinny legs that could cross to get lower, the bar could have come down, but it wasn't possible.

I will say that the CMs are always lovely about it.

I never realized Maliboomer was so tight. Its too scary, not missing much.

Thanks for the info! I don't go on the thrill rides so I am not too worried about that. What really gets me are those darn turnstiles!

I am wondering do any of them have a wheelchair or stroller enterance? Sometimes at WDW I just open it and walk through instead of going through a turnstile but not all of them have it set up that way.

I get exactly what the one poster said about having to turn sideways and tip toe through the turnstile. That is what I end up doing. What makes it worse is I am short so the bar hits me at my absolute widest section. It is embarrassing!

Our trip is about 2 months away!!!! We are getting closer!! It is just DH and I and we are both Pooh Sized. There is lots of good info - any last minute tips for rides to avoid?

We can ride EVERYTHING at WDW.....but whats different at DL that might cause a problem????

Both Mulholland Madness and Maliboomer will be gone when you arrive, so you don't need to worry about those.

Another one that I haven't seen mentioned is the Swings at DCA (Silly Symphony Swings, I think it is called now). Very uncomfortable for Pooh-sized backsides because the side bars of the seat dig into your hips. And I find that really sad because I do enjoy that ride, LOL.

I'ld stay away from Astro Orbiters. Even when I was not-so-Pooh sized, it was tough getting into and out of. On top of that, I was to afraid to go all the up on that ride, as you lean to the right as the ride goes up, the side of the car is a little low (the top of my theigh was level with the top of the car) I felt like I could flip out of the car. I'm 5'8" 200lbs

I am very pooh sized and only have a problem on a few things. In general DL is very size friendly. Seatbelts on things like Soarin, Indy, etc... are very long and fit comfortably. Some turnstiles are a bit tight, but I've never had an issue not getting through. I;m short so Space Mtn isn't an issue for me as far as leg room.

You will be just fine!

Yeah...I made the mistake of sitting in the front of the Pooh ride. I am tall, and I have knee problems. I thought I was going to jump out of my seat before that was over, I was in so much pain. I also had this problem on Mr. Toad, Roger Rabbit, and Space Mountain. I am not the tallest person on earth so I can't be the only one who goes through this.

I thought MM was just being rethemed? But it's actually being taken out completely? Ugh I hate having wrong information.

How would you all say that rides such as Space Mountain compare to the WDW version size wise? Also, is it possible to not have someone between your legs on the Matterhorn or is it required?
