How is Disney's mini golf?

We tried Winter Summerland on our Blizzard Beach/Animal Kingdom day. It was a nice way to dry off a bit in the sun after the water park. There were two different sides to the course. We did the Summer side which was cute... watch out for the squirting fish on the bridge!

Can anyone play at these or only resort guests? We are staying offsite, so after we visit a park on one of our half days can we stop in and pay to play a game?

DH and I are voting for Fantasia ! We have done both but definitely prefer Fantasia. They are both fun though. Lots of parking and certainly worth the time. Enjoy !!

Certainly anyone can play the Minigolf. If you have Waterparks Fun & More on your ticket you can use one of the admissions to play minigolf. Resort Package guests do get 2 vouchers for a round at the course of their choice. You can always just pay the seperate admission though; I'm not sure how much it is.

They are all fun. Only thing is that Disney really should have put them in locations that are easier to get to/from - particularly later in the evening.

Who knew Fantasia Gardens would be so challenging! I am terrible at mini golf - I guess the question for me is "how badly do I want to lose against DH"!

Fantasia Gardens is well worth it, though. And you don't lose at miniature golf - you just don't have the lowest score.

I was planning on doing Fantasia Gardens but got a pass that doesn't list that as being included, just Winter Summerland. Unless I'm mistaken. My then-5 year old will be playing for the first time, so it sounds like maybe Summerland is better if FG is hard. Not that any of us are any good! Anybody know of a time of day it's busier vs slower? If transportation is tricky in the evening, does that make it slower then?

I would say with a five year old and the first time, yes, Summerland is better.

We loves both courses! DH prefers Fantasia Gardens, DS prefers Winter Summerland.
I thought I was going to melt at Fantasia Gardens, but it was super fun. DS was excited he could see ToT from the course.
I really liked the theming at Winter Summerland. But I'm a sucker for Christmas-y things.
In short, they're both great fun and totally worth it. :)

We loved both courses. We personally liked Fantasia Gardens more than Winter Summerland. Fantasia Gardens is definitely the more challenging course. Winter Summerland reminds me of the classic touristy "putt-putt" golf courses. Very whimsical and relatively easy difficulty that makes it a great choice for kids. Fantasia I believe is more geared towards adults, though there are still plenty of the other elements to keep kids entertained.

We like Winter Summerland best - if you like Christmas, you'll love it! There is a parking lot there where you can park your car. Makes for a fun evening if you want to do the boardwalk before or after. :)

We are going to try Winter Summerland for the first time this trip. I'm so excited! Glad to hear a lot of good reviews.

Do you have to make a reservation/tee time? We've never used the vouchers we get with our MYW vacation package, but when we go for Christmas, we thought it would be fun to do the Wintertime course on Christmas Day.

Winter Summerland is awesome. Both courses have a great theme. Both are a fun time.

No reservations. But things might be crowded (as everything else will be) on Christmas Day.

Thanks. I am a little worried about the crowds.... But knowing that and going with patience in mind, hopefully it will be an enjoyable trip. We've got some good ADRs, which is exciting!

We went Christmas week to Fantasia Gardens last year. More crowded than I dreamed. Got there about 10ish and we had the play the hard side (unthemed). The themed side had a 20-30 min wait...which was too long for us.

We had a ton of fun although the kids were a bit bummed to miss the whimsical theming.
