How is Dinner at Kona?

We love Kona for dinner. Try the Filet mignon or the teriyaki steak. You wont go wrong with either. Nice ambience and great dessert selection.

So happy to read this! I am trying Kona next Friday night for the first time! I wanted Filet but it sounds like Beef Teriyaki it will be!

I'm torn between the Creme Brulee and the Chocolate Fondue though!

The last time I was there, the creme brulee was outstanding. However, it was just banana creme brulee now it is chocolate banana. So sad, being that I hate chocolate.

Kona is one of my few "must do" restaurants at WDW. They always have great food. Last time I had the sticky wings and seafood chowder - both excellent!

We have eaten at Kona many times and have always enjoyed the food. Last year-Dec-we were going to get the Mahi-Mahi and it was missing from the menu. I ordered the Tuna Oscar and DH got the prime rib. Both were so good that we were happy it was gone so we had to try something new. Now I see that a different Mahi is back on the menu. It doesn't matter really--we are open to anything--never had a bad meal at Kona. Can't wait for Dec. to roll around.

I want to book Kona for our upcoming trip, but my husband demands that we go back to Ohana for one meal. If I book both, is that Poly overkill?

As far as I am concerned, there is no such thing as Poly overkill, but then we stay there.

We ate at both Kona and 'Ohana last year and loved both of them. They are quite different in both food and atmosphere.

We have booked both again for our trip next week and we are looking forward to both.

Kona is one of our favorite places for dinner. We really enjoy the asian noodle dish and the ice cream cone dessert. Enjoy! It is a little loud but the food is great and the service is wonderful. We have done dinner there approx 5 times.

Does the wings at Kona taste the same as the wings at Ohana?

Sadly no, they are nothing like them at all. The ones at Kona are so much better. Ohana wings are still good but they are totally different

The Kona wings (which they serve at the Tambu Lounge are like a teriyaki style with a drizzle of Chinese style mustard and they are nice and stickey and wonderful, and smallish

The Ohana wings are bigger and more savory and had black and white and sesame seeds on them. They are still great but DH and I prefer Kona....I hope to pig out er eat some at the Tambu Lounge next weekend.

Kona is very good for a non signature restaurant...only clunker I had was the shrimp/scallop dish which was very bland. Filet was good.

We ate there twice while on vacation. Just returned last night. Yes they did remove the filet mignon from the menu.
