I really love Pooh and was thinking about trying Crystal Palace. How is the food there? Not sure if we will do breakfast or lunch yet. Is one better than the other?
Just dh & I. (as you can probably tell from our signature our kids have 4 legs & fur) :teeth:
Thanks! :wave2:

DH & I took our 2 DDs there for dinner last year. We loved it! The food was really good, and they had a nice selection, but the desserts were SO good! I haven't been to the breakfast to speak for that, but I would try the dinner if you were able to. Also, check out the menus at www.allearsnet.com.

We did dinner here on our last trip and it was very good! The Crystal Palace is so beautiful. I'll bet breakfast would be really good - according to Deb's menus. They do a cute kids parade around the room - at least for dinner - and it is fun to watch. Our kids are teens and they enjoyed it too. Bet you would have a really good time! :thumbsup2 Oh and the food is good.

Sounds fun and yummy. I will have to look into the dinner. For some reason I thought it was just breakfast and lunch.
Are the characters there for every meal?
Thanks.

Silly me. I looked again and did see it did breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Characters are there all day! The menu looks yummy.
Looks like Crystal Palace for dinner instead of Liberty Tree Tavern. I will see Mickey, Chip & Dale at Garden Grill and am thinking about breakfast at Chef Mickey's one morning so I will see some more characters there.
I feel so silly being in my early 30's and talking about all these characters. At least I don't ask for autographs like when I was a kiddie, I just like getting my picture taken with them. :teeth: Part of what I love about WDW, feeling like a kid again.
:woohoo:

My DBF and I had dinner at the Crystal Palace a few years ago and it was absolutely wonderful. I love Pooh so it was great for me and he stuffed himself at the buffet. There's a good selection of food and GREAT desserts. We got a bunch of great pics w/the characters and the atmosphere was very nice (a bit loud, but really, what can you expect-little ones get excited when they see Winnie!) I hope you have a great dinner and a wonderful trip!

I had lunch there 2 times and LOVE it!!! I would never miss CP on a trip.. don't feel silly about being excited about character meals... it's my main way to meet them too, aside from extended magic hours... I don't like standing in the long lines to meet the characters esp if children are behind me... I go, at age 30, to the character meals also and get excited too:) They're really nice too.. they gave me big hugs and pooh kept kissing me and they joke around with you.. they spend just as much time with adults as children. And the servers are sure to tell you when to be at your table.... everyone is treated equal;)

We have done both Lunch and Breakfast. The food is great and the character interaction was the best at a character dining for us.

My DSis is a huge Winnie the Pooh fan. I was able to get great pictures of the two of them. It was really cute.

Pooh stuffed himself at the buffet??? I didn't think the characters could eat. :p

Just joking, I know what you meant. Welcome to the boards, btw. :sunny:

I agree with the other posters. Although I cannot speak for CP's breakfast, the dinner buffet is sooooo good. There are always interesting salads and side dishes, as well as prime rib/roast beef/ham, etc. And, the desserts are amazing.

:goodvibes Enjoy!

I am very excited about this one. Thanks for all the great advice. I don't feel so silly now. :teeth:

We LOVE CP for breakfast!! It's become a tradition for us :) The food is absolutely delicious!!!

We've done breakfast twice and dinner twice. One good/one mediocre for both meals. We've decided to skip it on our upcoming Christmas trip this year (although the one good dinner we had was on Christmas day two years ago).

Thanks!
I think we will go there for dinner one night. Maybe the night we decide to do MVMCP if we decide to do that. If we really like it I might try it out for breakfast one of the mornings.
The menu looks really tasty for dinner. :thumbsup2

I think Crystal Palace is a great place pooh:
We have had breakfast and lunch there. I prefered the breakfast food over the lunch. We will be dining there this May for breakfast :eeyore:

DH and I tried it for the 1st time in many yrs. last month and loved it. We had a view of the castle and as we were enjoying dessert, at about 7 pm (it was dark) the princesses apeard and we saw the show from our table. What a lovely surprise!

:thumbsup2 Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences at Crystal Palace.
I am so excited about our trip. December seems so far away.

We had a blast. The characters spent lots of time with our kiddos. The food was good although there could have been more selection. We had gone at lunch time. We left full and happy. :cheer2:

It's also fun to do CP for breakfast first thing, before MK officially opens. If you get an ADR for 8 or 8:05 AM, you're one of the first few in and seated, and the characters pay extra attention to your party since there aren't many others there yet. And you'll probably be done before the park opens at 9, giving you a few minutes to explore Main Street and have a view of the castle with virtually no one else around.

I've had all 3 meals at CP and enjoy all of them but I'd have to give the edge to breakfast but I do love breakfast anywhere. They have a breakfast lasagna that is out of this world. It is layers of pancakes and fruit and bananas on top. It is so good. There is also a make to order omlet bar that will also make eggs any style.

Enjoy!!!
