I just booked lunch at the castle for our March trip. It is expensive for lunch but my kids really want to eat there. I thought that it was the same as the breakfast but I was wrong. There will be no characters going around. The CM said that we will see the fairy godmother and Cinderella in the greeting room. Is it worth the $$$? We are not breakfast people so that is out. Is it cool just eating inside? Please share your thoughts. ;)

Last time i checked, Cindy's Lunch did have characters there, We went for lunch in June and saw Cindy, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, and Snow White. The Fairy Godmother was greeting guests in the lobby. The castle has a wonderful view of the park and the MOJO Domos Pie was great for lunch. Is it Posible that the CM confused lunch with dinner?

Went in October and saw 6 different princesses for lunch. I loved the salmon with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Be prepared to sit down and have your appetizers fairly thrust at you though and no warning for the dessert either. They are slighty rushed to serve you, but the time with the princesses and the food is so dazzling you won't mind!

We had lunch there last Wednesday and it was a Princess Lunch with Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, and Mary Poppins walking around the restaurant and Cinderella was in the lobby for photos.

I believe that starting in Feb there will no longer be Princesses at the lunch....

We went in August and the characters all walked around but I do know they changed the policy recently. It was wonderful-I've been going to WDW for 16 years and this was the first time I'd ever eaten in the castle. The food was good-I wasn't a huge fan of the appetizers but the meal and dessert were wonderful. THey also brought a plate of buttered noodles for my 18 month old at no charge. We had a wonderful table overlooking Fantasyland and I definitely got tears in my eyes at the experience. A negative-the service felt very rushed. I normally don't get bothered by stuff like that and will ignore a waiter trying to rush me through my meal but this felt very pressured! I think it's worth it-we're going back for breakfast (DD is a VERY early riser) in Feb.

There will be character meals at the castle for breakfast, lunch and dinner starting in February. The prices is going up, and they're making it into more of a special event, like the Hoop-Dee-Doo and the old luau.

Can someone tell me
1) what the lunch child/adult appetizers are?
2) if we can get plain ice cream for the kids for dessert?
3) are there a lot of tables by the windows?
We have a lunch ADR for Jan.
Thank you

So according to allearsnet.com breakfast and lunch will be character themed and at dinner you would just see the fairy godmother. The CM that I made my ADR's said that I would only only see the fairy godmother at luch. What is the deal here? How do I find out for truth? For the cost I would really like to see the ladies.

Great! My daughter will be thrilled. Sooooo cold here today. I have noticed many people on this board from Burlington.

Cindy was in the lobby greeting area before lunch began - you got pic and an autograph and then they bought the picture package to your table during lunch. Circulating during lunch were Belle, Snow White, Mary Poppins and Aurora.

The food here was good when we went in August and my kids were thrilled to eat in the castle. We had Fairy Godmother in the waiting area and upstairs circulating in the dining room were Cinderella, Princessa Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, and Snow White. It would have been pricey but we had the free dining plan. Since the kids' dessert is vanilla ice cream with sprinkle and a chocolate crown, I would think you could order ice cream plain. I had the Major Domo Pie, it was wonderful. My son really enjoyed his salmon and my daughter had chicken strips.
