How is Boatwright's?

We tried Boatwrights on a whim this past December and liked it so much that we have already made ADRs for our October trip and we might go there for our May trip. My fil had the pot roast and absolutely loved it. I had the Herb Roasted Chicken with Boatwrights potatoes and it was soooooo good!!! I swear that I've had dreams about those potatoes for months now :cloud9: . I can't remember what my dh had but he ended up almost licking his plate. It was really good and our CM was wonderful.

We thought breakfast was great but dinner was not good at all.

I agree 100%. Breakfast there's good but IMO the theming's just not up to Disney standards. There are so many much better choices for dinner than Boatwright's...

We ate here once during our stay at POR last summer.

Our server was great with the kids and the food was good. I think we went on an off day or when they were super busy because we waited FOREVER for our server to get to us once we were seated. I am extremely a patient person, but by forever I mean once we were seated we were not helped for about a half hour. I had to convince dh not to get up and leave. :scared1:
I am willing to bet this was not common however. I would go back. Dh would not. :confused3

We stayed at POR last year and had an ADR at Boatwright's but we canceled it and chose someplace else after seeing the restaurant. The decor reminded me of a restaurant that we used to go to at Six Flags, so I didn't even give the food a try. Might have been a mistake on our part not to even try it, but we didn't.

Out of all the breakfasts we've eaten in Disney World, Boatwrights is the best in our opinion. We didn't need a reservation though.

Yes Bob Jackson still entertains at POR. He is very funny. We saw him a few times during our stay a couple of weeks ago. We also ate at Boatwrights for supper and it was excellent. I had the prime rib and it just melted in my mouth. The onion rings where the best I have had in a long time. The CM were great and very promt. I liked it too because it wasn't overcrowded so it was a nice setting. We also called for ressies a about 3 hours before seeing we didn't want to go all the way back to Epcot for dinner. It was our last night there and just to tired. LOL

We've eaten a number of meals at Boatwright's. All have been delicious and the service excellent.

My favorites are the jambalaya, and the pot roast.

DF and I ate here for dinner last May and did not like it at all. We were excited to try it because the menu looked amazing, but there was nothing we enjoyed. We're staying there again in three weeks and won't be trying Boatwrights again.

If you didn't like their dinner, then you should really try their breakfast. I agree with you, you can probably find a better steak at one of the other restaurants. However, the breakfast is our favorite there, we never go to dinner just to breakfast. Their french toast is so good, and I can't wait to try the stuffed ones :thumbsup2 .

We ate dinner there this past December. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children. Everyone basically tried something different and everyone was very pleased with their meals. This was not our favorite restaurant, but we did like it and would eat there again.
