How is AK on a Sunday?

We planned on visiting AK on Sunday, May 1. Do you think this is OK? We try to avoid ANY parks on Sats. We will be there for 10 days and we have that following Monday and Tuesday open for whatever,so the day to go can be changed with some re-arranging some Ps's.

I think AK is a little more crowded than normal on saturday or sunday because of the locals. However, if you have monday or tuesday open why don't you switch and go to the AK on one of those days? It will be much more pleasant for you!

Last week, we went to Epcot on Saturday and MK on Sunday and it was fine. I read on the boards that Sunday is a good day for MK and it turned out to be true. We went to AK on Monday and it was great. Got there before park opening and the park was empty for a couple hours.

Our family is doing a land/sea package and the bus to the ship will pick us up Sunday, June 12 at AK.

What do you suggest we do? We will only be there for about 3 hours.
