I have mild motion sickness, but am interested in riding Back to the Future.

Is Back to the future the most intense of the motion simulator rides?

In what order would you suggest the least intense to the most?

BTTF is pretty intense in fact probably the most second one i found to be star tours although in Spain at universals portaventura park they have sea odessy(forgive spelling) which is also pretty intense:jester:

Yes, BTTF is pretty intense...but if you really expect it, it tones it done because you are prepared.

I have ridden BTTF for years, and I had never been on the first floor (go figure). Well, one evening of last year, we got first floor. Expecting the ride to be similar to the floor above us, we got bumped around like crazy. It was so painful we were cracking up so hard. But we were expecting a not-so-intense ride.

Anyway, Jimmy Neutron is pretty rough, but I don't think it's as bad as BTTF...but will need someone to confirm that.

PS - my dad gets motion sickness...can't take rollercoasters, etc. But he can handle BTTF fine. :)

I was really worried about going on BTTF when I was at universal this spring from reading all the warnings written in guidebooks. it was right after lunch and we walked by the ride and my dad forced me to go on it. I did and i loved it! It's the most amazing simulator ride! It was right after eating and I didn't get sick at all and i get sick on cars and buses sometimes. I found it much less intense than star tours at MGM which i got a little motion sick on. I'd be more worried on back to the future if you are clostrophobic. The waiting room is VERY small and both doors of it are closed and then you walk into another small room with the vehicle in it and then the side door closes down right on you in the vehicle. So i recommend not going on if you are clostrophobic at all. I did fine though. But it's a pretty short ride if you dont like it! You should give it a try! Good luck!

I have read where people take dramamine or bonine before going on and have been fine, but that won't take care of the headache from bumping around. It is a great attraction however.

Enjoy!

It's pretty rough. I've been on it a couple of times. But last visit I chose not to ride it because it is so jerky. I don't get motion sick on rides but it jerks and bumps your head pretty bad. I've seen several adults get sick after the ride.

I haven't been on it in years (going back next summer), but I remember the worst part of it was the lap bar. My mom and I were seated in the same row with this very tall gentleman. The lap bar stopped at his legs, but we had a big gap between our legs and the lap bar. Thus, we had a pretty crazy ride and were thrown around a lot. We still laugh about it to this day and it happened like 7 years ago.:D

It's really bad. If USF was nice, they'd tone down the program until they can tear it down, like BGT took out Questor.

I don't ride motion simulators anymore.

And to think, suits thought they would replace coasters. Ha.

i detest this ride. We rode it again a few weeks ago and remembered why I didn't care for it the first time. As everyone else said we were thrown around. They should really tone it down a bit. You don't get to enjoy what's happening in front of you because you're busy trying to keep your head in one place!

I find it rougher than Star Tours. It isn't the motion sickness part that I find bad but you really get banged around.

thanks all! This one is scratched from my list.....

Now how am i going to fill my days besides hunting Sea Gulls who are employee of the month for their division and Watching the talking fountain drench people? :)
