Today I heard a guest say somethin so reprehensable, so horible, and so offensive, that I am still in shock. I shall begin at the begining. During the first show at LMA, at the studios. I came across a family with give kids the world as they came down the line to me at the coverd que position. The two children in this party were both in a double stroller. One of the girls was fine, but the other, was sevearly deformed and on a ventilater. WHile I loaded them into the elevator. I started playing around with the little girl makeing her smile. (I have a soft spot for Give Kids the World kids and will do anything to make them smile.) After sending them On their way, I continued doing my job untill the unload. That is where things went down hill.

After the show was over and most of the wheelchairs had been let off of the elevator, this family comes down again. So, seeing as I was not busy and that the parents didn't mind I starting asking the girl (named Robin by the way) how she liked the show. During this exchange, a woman took it upon herself to cross under a rope blocking guests from crossing in front of the elevator to say the following: "I don't think it's fair that I was told that I couldn't bring my stroller in even though my child was sleeping, and they get to bring their stroller in just cause their child is hidiously deformed." My jaw dropped and the only thing I could say was that I was sorry to Robin. I just couldn't believe what I heard.

I agree with you. He's a better person than me, because if I heard someone say something like that to a child where I worked, I would've probably been fired on the spot. It would've been worth it, though.

I don't know about the cm, he/she must have had alot of control because if it were me I would had made an issue to get that "woman" out of the park for good!

My jaw dropped too. That was an unbelievably horrible thing to say to another human being. I can only imagine how it must have hit her parents. That being said, there are alot of ignorant people in this world that are filled with hate. I understand alot of the comments posted here about wanting to lay into her but unfortunately it would not change someone like this. I say the better thing to do in that situation is to continue to do for other people...as much as you can-Bring a smile to someones face...make someone laugh...do something to brighten up someone else's day. In doing that you are combatting the rude, hateful, selfish people in this world by spreading more love and acceptance. We all know here on the DIS boards how nice it is to get just a little pixie dust in our day and many on here go out of there way to do that for complete strangers in WDW. I think it's horrible what happened but I pray that little angel comes into contact with more people like that kind CM than that hateful lady for the duration of her time on this planet.

The girl may have been deformed in appearance, but believe me, that miserable woman's heart is 'severely deformed'. What a vicious, rotten....oh, never mind, I'd get kicked off the board if I said what I'm thinking.

Reminds me of the time I boarded an Epcot bus at WL, and the driver was having a hard time getting a child's wheelchair locked down in the back of the bus. We sat there for a just a few minutes, and the father of the family across the aisle just griped endlessly about the wait. You'd have though that Epcot was going to close forever and we'd all miss it the way he carried on. And all this time, I'm thinking, my father would have been back there helping the driver with the wheelchair. Not because he was in a hurry, but because he COULD help, and that's the kind of man he is. But no, this louse continued to gripe. Nice lesson he gave his kids.

I know for sure...I would have smacked her, even if it wasn't my child
