How Impossible Is This?

Now that I can slow down my stalking/posting/rabid researching on the resorts board because I'm booked :cool1: we're moving on to ADRs! We're going January 3-10, 2009 with 8 adults. As a measure of fairness, everyone is picking one place they'd want to eat. If someone passes up their choice, I'm picking for them! I hate making ADRs so late (148 days to go!) but the trip was kind of a last-minute idea.

So today my friend chose the Coral Reef. Now, I was going to do parks based on which is open longest on what day, but I know from past experience that ADRs may definitely require some park-hopping. My question to you experts is, how impossible is it to get an ADR at the Coral Reef for dinner for any one of those nights? The 3rd will definitely be spent at MK, but all the others are open. I'm planning on calling on my lunch break.

All you can do is call and try for an ADR..have your proposed schedule in front of you with the times of park closing...........are you planning on hitting the evening EMH?? IF so then I would try to get the Coral Reef on that night!

Hope you were able to book something. I will tell you we had a fantastic Lunch at Coral Reef and it was a welcome break from the park.

We don't have trouble getting ADRs for Coral Reef. I was even able to get 2 during Thanksgiving week. The food is delicious.

I am going that exact week (1/4-1/11), and I actually changed my previous ADR at Coral Reef on the 5th from 5:30PM to 5:00PM today with no problem whatsoever. I just booked all my ADRs last week, and every place we wanted had plenty of openings--I even had my choice of days and times at Le Cellier!

Now it might be more difficult with a party of eight, but I still think you won't have a problem. Hope you got the ADR!

I was afraid there'd be nothing left, but I called tonight after work and got everything we wanted! Coral Reef I had to move from the 4th to the 9th so we could all sit together, and figure it'll be our trip sendoff. There were even lots of tables for CRT for the 3rd and 8th when I called! Maybe I'll see you there - look for 4 couples of 20-year-olds giving each other the cold shoulder! Hopefully we'll all be peaceful!

I'm glad you got what you wanted, and I hope to see you there--even if you're not peaceful. :lmao:

Haha, last time was my friend/boyfriend's first time, and he was either afraid/bored with everything, I told him I was driving to the Everglades and throwing him in the swamp with the gators! We definitely all had blowups that week, so hopefully this trip (with different couples than last time) will be a blast! Is the Coral Reef very dressy? I'm not sure what I should tell my friends!

We've all had our share of meltdowns as well--even though we are all eighteen or older. :thumbsup2

And Coral Reef isn't dressy at all. Anything you would wear to Epcot is fine--basic park attire.

Coral Reef is just casual dress. I ate there recently and it was pretty good, even considering that I can't eat fish. The steak was pretty good and the desserts were awesome. We had a seat right next to the tank and got to see sting rays, turtles and divers. The larger tables are not next to the glass but you can still have a pretty good view.

I'm so happy that you got the ADR to the Coral Reef!
