How important is UY?

UY is really important if you consistently travel in August. Feb UY would also work, banking deadline September.

Feb, Mar Apr Jun. You should be able to work with that.

I wouldn't get August, because you might need to walk across UY.

Is there a reason other than that why DVC tends to favor pushing certain UY?

I would think it depends on when units are constructed and when they're declared available for booking with points. In theory, they need to have enough rooms in inventory to cover the number of points sold, so if rooms aren't available until August, issuing points with a June use year would put things out of balance. But that's just my theory.
