How I hate politics and fighting

I know that alot of you are so serious about your beliefs in your candidate.....BUT........it will be a long two months if all we see in the papers and in the news are negative attacks.....and then come here and have to see it again and again........I believe in who I want...but I do not go and bash the other candidate and keep rubbing noses in everyones problems........
Just try to be civil to each other and to our two candidates......aren't we lucky to live in a country that we can elect our leaders and not die doing it........

What timing. This morning I was so tired of hearing negative things on the news about both candidates. ENOUGH ALREADY!! I'm not listening any more.

Not meaning to be flip or anything, but are you being forced to read the (most of the time clearly marked as such) political threads here or the certain articles in the newspaper or listen/watch a certain broadcast on TV or radio?

As far as reading the threads, I agree, you can avoid that. But unless you move somewhere under a rock, I scarcely see how you can avoid hearing the negativity. Unless you chuck the TV, never turn on the radio, and refuse to enter a public place until Nov. 2nd, you're gonna hear it. I don't have a TV, I listen to the radio only ocassionally, and I hear ALL about it, all day, at work, at the grocery, at the mall, wherever.

unfortunatley even some of the non-poliical threads end up being that way

I am not going to be flip or anything either but ......most of the things are in the subject lines and YOU KNOW what they are saying without even going into it......and yes ......I do choose what I read here .......and I do not watch all that much tv unless it is the looney tunes...I am kidding of course........

You know, I open some of those political threads in the hopes of actually learning something about the candidates and their policies, too bad that doesn't happen because of all the fighting going on. It would be nice if the threads were educational, instead they are just mean.

Even the titles of the threads make me sad because they are so nasty.

I know exactly what you are sayng. I have yet to see a non-confrontational intelligent conversation regarding both candidates on what they will actaully do for this country.
Its amazing how nasty this election has become and its a downright shame!

I'm with you Pumba....just sick and tired of it all! I like studying out out the issues and going from there...I'm just really tired of the media...

Actually, a few weeks ago I had a poll on here on this exact topic. Many people liked the idea of a temp board. I'm thinking maybe it's not a hot thing with mods. LOL! Who would want to keep an eye on that? I have visions of it being similar to the DB. So I'm thinking results of that poll were ignored.
