Baltimore, MD reached 102 degrees with a heat index (factoring humidity) of 113!

Reminds me of my trip to Tuscon to visit my lil sister some years ago...she neglected to tell me she had no ac, just a "swamp cooler." I wasn't sure I'd make it out alive!

We had a high of 106 here in Richmond. We went to the pool from 9:30am till noon so the kids could burn off steam. I usually don't like going to the pool that early, but I didn't want them cooped up all day and I certainly didn't want ot be out of of the A/C this afternoon.

According to Weather Channel here in Newport News, Va. it is now 103 with a heat index of 117 WTH?!

In a couple hours heading up to Richmond actually to take DD to see her dad, who has a pool.

It's been high 80s/low 90s here, but for some reason it seems SO much hotter. I've seen summers where it got to be over 100, but for some reason this summer is really hitting me worse than the summers with the higher temps.

Supposed to rain tommorrow lowering the temp for a couple of days. We will see.....My grass is frying like chicken.

According to Yahoo Weather, it's "only" 104 here (Mesa, AZ) today.

Which is an improvement over the 118 it was last week.

Sigh. I need to find a way to move back to CA (aka "home")...

Here at the Jersey Shore, at 8:40PM, it's still 90 degrees! ... I think we reached a high of 97 degrees today ... I am so tired of all these 90+ degree days ... and it's only July ... what the heck is August going to be like?

It's 9:25 p.m. or so right now - temp is 82 - heat index 86.. Our "low" for tonight is supposed to be 71 degrees - with a 60% chance of thunderstorms..

During the day today, the heat index was supposed to be around 102, but I don't know if it got that high because I didn't have the Weather Channel on for a change..

The dew point is sky high again - so of course the air quality is absolutely horrendous..

This has been one heck of a July.. Wonder what August will be like?

On Long Island it was about 97 today with heat indexes of 105!! Right now (9:30 pm) it's still 90 degrees with heat index of 94!! Can't wait to go to Disney next week and cool off
