How high are the individual Drops on the Tower of Terror?

On the TOwer of Terror, is it true they drop you in INTERVALS and not straight up to straight down?? If so, how much are the interval drops??

What happens on this ride??

The drops are now random, they are not the same every time. They do drop you almost the entire way and back up at least once, maybe more. Some drops are just part way. The fun part now is you don't know what it's going to do! You don't know if it will drop first or go up first. It's an awsome ride !

For years I passed on TOT, but now it is absolutely my favorite ride. DS (almost 14) and I rode it 13 times when we were there last June. Wished we had time for more!!!!!!

The drops are anywhere from 1 to 13 stories. There are 4 different drop patterns that you can land up with.

You sit in an elevator "car" and take a trip through the motel's history and find out why it's haunted. You see some hologram ghosts, etc. Then the drops as described above are the finale.
