How have DL's major rides changed Since 2000 ?

I haven't been to DL in 9 years. Now I have one day at DL to do as much as possible. So here's some questions for strategy and what to leave out.

Indy and ST - Any significant changes since feb 2000? Does the jeep move any differently?

Should I go on Buzz? I hear its a must-ride. It seems like RRCS with laser guns. So far, that doesn't appeal to me. What else is there about the ride? What's the pre-show like?

Nemo - Is the pre-show good, or should I use a fast pass?

How soon in the day are fast passes available?(DL hours: 9am-10pm Wed. Apr 1)

Nothing significantly different about Indy or Star Tours.
Buzz is simply an interactive dark ride. More fun if there is someone with you to compete with. If you've been to universal, it's similar to the men in black ride.
There is no pre-show for Nemo and no FP either.

As for the other E-Tickets, POTC has added a lot. HM has a whole new attic scene. Space Mtn has been completly revamped. The addition of Winnie the Pooh in Critter Country. I can't think of anything else that is vastly different.

Nemo doesn't have a preshow but you can ask the CM at the front of the line if you can watch it in the handicapped viewing room, they will point you in the right direction. It's the same ride, you just don't get on a sub and ride around.

Nemo has no fastpass, so I'd go on it very early almost immediately after the park opens. I don't know that Indy has changed that much. Star Tours is the same.

POTC added some characters from the films, Haunted Mansion has undergone some changes, It's a Small World added Disney characters in the style of Mary Blair to the attraction, and Space Mountain is completely and entirely different.

Is this a Disneyland only day or will you be heading over to DCA as well. If you've never been to WDW in recent years, it may be worth visiting DCA.

How long to the lines get for Nemo? I was going to do PP, Big Th and Matterhorn 1st. Is it safe to put any of those off?

Nemo can go around 90 minutes or more. I'd do Peter Pan first, then head straight to Nemo, and then hit Matterhorn. After Matterhorn, check the standby line for Space and/or get a fastpass for it.

By getting there first thing in the morning, you'll be able to fastpass Space and Big Thunder easily enough. If it's a solo trip, you can use single rider for both Splash and Indy.

Pirates added Jack Sparrow scenes.
Tom Sawyer was devastated with new Pirate's Lair.
Jungle Cruise has some new changes like the baby gorilla.
Screamin and Sun wheel are being rethemed but are the same basically.
orange Stinger now allows any weight that fits the seats.
haunted Mansion had some minor tweaking but is basically the same.
Small World had one scene removed, the boats fit two large adults or three skinny people, and have Disney characters added all over the place.
Bobsleds are the same basically but are getting new seat belts and been out of commission except for weekends for the past month.

Space Mountain you probably have done since their big total replacement of the track and addition of a disabled loading dock. New everything and way colder up front and darker and scarier and more fun than before the major overhauling. Not sure what year that was but within the last 8 years.

Along with the above -
- Innoventions has the Dream Home of the Future and ASIMO, as well as some other interactive stuff.
- Country Bears Jamboree is gone. :( (Winnie the Pooh is there now.)
- The subs that you knew last time you were there are now the Nemo Subs.
- Billy Hill and the Hillbillies is a great, funny show.
- DCA

If you only have one day: Do Nemo at the very end. Get in line 10 minutes before the Park closes. No matter how long the line is, you will get to ride. This way, you are not wasting valuable park time while waiting in line for Nemo.

Trying to think what else falls under the 10 year mark. I'll add if I think of more.
