My week has been good - just busy as always

We're just walking through the trenches right now. We have the money for the house repairs (thank you, HELOC) and we knew it was coming, but this is the week we signed the contracts ($13K for retaining wall repair/installation and $10K for new furnace/conversion to gas).

Also... DD is house/cat sitting for a friend so is out of the house until Tuesday, which works to her advantage as SIL has a "man-cold." DH has covid. I am living with a 5 year old and two sick men... PRAY FOR ME, hahaha!

week. I know it could be much much worse, but this week has not been a good one.

Finals for dd - her schools grading system is on a 7 point scale (I hate it!) and a few of her classes didn’t have a lot of assignments so if you did average on one it can bring you down fast. She studied and her borderline grade just squeaked out an A. Still have 3 more finals to go. I’m ready for next Wednesday at 2:20pm. My awnry teen will be slightly less awnry. (Can I say I’m not a fan of 14. )

Family drama. I don’t have time or desire for this complete and utter nonsense. It’s so ridiculous and infuriating. And the worst part is I still feel wretched about something completely out of my control.

And my bf is going through the wringer right now. Makes my woes insignificant. Hard when she’s not close, but we talk constantly. My heart is hurting for my friend.

So yeah, there’s my ray of sunshine for the day.
