How has your life changed?

I've been here since before this set of boards... there was "the big crash" way back when. Since then I've had 2 kids, gotten divorced, changed jobs. Gosh life happened.... I know I haven't been around here much but in all reality I've "met" (and a few I've met IRL, TVT and SSB will be with me for the rest of my life for their kindness and generosity on 9/11) so many wonderful people here. Good place to come and to stay.

What has changed for me:
-I moved from Orlando back to NC with my boyfriend who I met while working in Disney
-I moved from NC back to NH to finish school and DBF moved back to Illinois
-I got engaged to DBF
-I called off my engagement
-I took money I had saved for wedding and moving and bought myself DVC!
-I worked full time as a manager at the health club I worked at as a teenager
-I took a job at the middle school I went to, and the one my parents worked at
-I started coaching field hockey at the middle school
-I took a part time job at Blockbuster with the JV FH coach as my store manager
-I took her JV job when she and the varsity coach (my mom) retired
-I worked with a creepy, weird, old guy at Blockbuster who was totally into me!
-I used said creepy, weird old guy from Blockbuster
-I married creepy, weird old guy from Blockbuster Turns out creepy, weird old guy was only 7 years older than me and not so creepy and weird! I'm now 28 and he is 35!
-Creepy, weird old guy and I are trying for kids and looking to sell our house and buy a bigger one.

A lot has changed in the last six years!

I joined almost three years ago. Since then I've graduated from my Batchelor's degree, completed and graduated from my Masters degree, completed and graduated from my teacher training degree and have found a great job as a teacher in a high school.

I got together with my boyfriend who I love beyond words, we are going to Orlando in April; he has never been before (he's never been to the US before, let alone Orlando).

Since then-

-We sold our house in NJ and moved to PA
-Sold our house in PA and moved to Ocala, Florida and into our first apartment together.
-We moved from Ocala to Kissimmee & got another apartment.
-Moved from Kissimmee to an apartment in Clermont.
**We accepted Jesus and became Christians!!**
-Decided to stay in Clermont and rented a house.
-Since we've met so many really great friends here, we've finally found our spot and we're loving life.

**Most important way our life has changed by far.

I first joined the original boards when my dd was 12yrs old and we were making our first trip to WDW. Pete posted a lot back then, he answered virtually every question. Of course we had a very different format, LOL.
I don't remember what my join date says now, but I've been on every board we've had.

My life has changed dramatically, of course, in the last 12 years.

I went back to college and got my bachelor's. I work in a completely different field now and I love my job.
My dh works for the same employer but he's received promotions so his job has changed as well.
Our daughter is now 24 yrs old and she'll be married soon.

I joined in Jan 2004 and I had just started college a couple of months before. Now, I graduated from college with a degree in teaching in 2007. I worked for a year as a pre-k teacher in the school I had worked at since high school. I now have my own kindergarten classroom in a district that i really wanted to be in. When I joined, I was planning my first trip to disney without family. Now, i have been numerous times with friends and my cousin. I have been to Alaska and on several cruises

I was here before the crash too.
Since then, took the family to wdw, swore not to take extended family again.lol
Got seperated and divorced.
Got a paying job for the first time in 20.
Went back to school.
Got hurt, no work for 9 months, lost job, got better and found another one.
Still in school about to graduate in june.


It has been a long time.

Back on topic.

I joined in July 2004, as DH and I were preparing for our Honeymoon to WDW! So in the last 4+ years:
- I got married
- Bought our first house
- switched jobs twice
- got a dog
- Struggled with depression and anxiety, which has actually been very instrumental in becoming who I am now
- took our nieces to WDW in 2006
- got pregnant, took a long time off from the DIS due to illness and poor-ness (we shut off our internet and phone to save money while I was sick)
- Had a gorgeous little Princess who more than makes up for the misery of my pregnancy.


And here we are today. Lots of stuff in between, but those are the big things. :

I joined while desperately searching for information on Disney weddings.

DH and I had already made our deposit and we were looking for information on everything Disney. It was our first trip and we were SOOOO excited.

We got married at Sea Breeze Point just over three years ago.

Since then not a whole lot has changed. We're still as giddy as newlyweds, still madly in love with each other (and Disney)...

Still work at the same place, still have three dogs, still live in the same place, no kids...all in all life is good!
