What's the deal with the salt on the potatoes for baking?

it just makes them taste better, it's better then adding it afterwards. Also I have found that pasta from salted water is much better.
My family stood in line in Chicago several years ago to see the live taping of Emerils show. Quite cool.

Another Food Channel fan here. Well, actually my DD 7 is the biggest fan. She loves everything except Emeril. Sorry Emeril! When Emeril comes on she askes if we can switch to Animal Planet.

during my rehab,, alll the drs wanted to let me do was cook and house work, so i learned to experiment with different styles and seasonings i love the cook off specials, especially the bbq since we help do one of them each year:0) emerils still my favorite, but i like rachels stuff too, i have used some of her t hirty min meals,, they ussually take me more like an hour though

I like to watch it when I have time too. I rarely watch tv though and usually on computer when I have free time at home. Most of my free time is late at nigh "night owl".

I like unwrapped, Emeril, Good Eats, Iron Chef, etc. also.


Am I the only one who can't get a receipe from tv. I love to cook but can never keep up with them. I watch it and if I like the food look the receipe up on line. I once did a broadcast for a food show and they go fast in their making.

What a timely thread for me. I was watching an episode of Paula Dean the other day when she was cooking Italian. One of the things she made was Speidino. I'd never heard of it, either.
But, she made it sound so good. Well last night we ate at Carraba's Grill and they had it on their menu! I just HAD to order it. And, boy oh boy was it SO good. Yummy and so rich!
I may have to add her show to my lineup more often.
