How hard will it be to find unsweet Tea?

I recently gave up a very strong diet coke addiction and have moved on to unsweetened ice tea, I assume sit down restaurants have it but am I out out luck at places like the Contempo cafe?

I wouldn't think it'd be hard at all. A while back there was a thread on here about how Disney didn't know what - or how to prepare properly - sweet tea.

I grew up in a southern state and most restaurants had both sweet and unsweet tea. I can't imagine why Disney would be different, but I honestly don't known.

It's pretty easy to find. I know at Roaring Forks (at WL) there was a Gold Peak tea machine that had sweetened, unsweetened and green tea as options. I also remember getting it at several CS locations in the parks.

I know that Contempo Cafe has one of the those Gold Peak tea dispenser machines, and there are 4 or 5 different options. Sweet tea is only one of the options.

My thing is finding herbal teas (don't always want caffeine, esp at night), so this time, I'm carrying my own tea bags to Parks/restaurants & asking for hot water. I found out the hard way last fall that alot of the restaurants don't have many options for herbal/decaf teas. The waiter said it was no problem to bring my own next time if I wanted to.

Sure wish I could figure out a way to get iced herbal /decaf tea......

It's not nearly as hard to find unsweetened tea as it should be. :)

:lmao::rotfl::lmao: That literally made me laugh out loud. That being said, I'm pretty sure all of the resort CS places have the Gold Peak machines now. WDW doesn't serve anything that even remotely resembles tea in my opinion...but unsweet tea isn't really tea either...so you should be fine ;)

The best unsweet tea I've had is from Wolfgang Puck Express. I'm not sure what kind it is, but it's beyond fantastic.

Every CS place will give you a cup of hot water & a large cup of ice for free. Just brew your hot tea with your own teabags, and pour it over the ice. Voila - iced herbal/decaf tea!

I'm sure that a TS restaurant would do the same for you.

The food court at All Star Music also had a Gold Peak tea dispenser. One of the options was definitely an unsweetened tea. It was good!

My favorite iced tea is from the Andapur Royal Tea Company in the Animal Kingdom. They will serve any of their teas either hot or cold. It is some of the best REAL Tea I have ever had.

All I drink is unsweetened iced tea or water, and I don't remember ever having a problem finding unsweetened iced tea. You will be fine :)

Congrats on successfully kicking the soda habit! It's really hard to do!

A few years ago I thought it was difficult to find unsweetended tea at CS locations & the resorts but with the Gold Peak machines it is much easier. We are Pepsi people and can't stand Coke so it was always water only for us until the unsweetened tea became more prevalent.

I could have sat there all day drinking tea. One that is similar is Paradise Tea. At home when making sun tea I use regular tea bags & Orange Spice but lipton.

I love the tea here as well!

As for the resorts, the unsweetened Gold Peak iced tea is not bad, though obviously not as good as fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea.

YUCK!
I have yet to find, in my 20 years on earth, any tea that is even DECENT outside of my own tea pitcher. I don't drink elegant tea by any means but for whatever reason no one can perfect the South GA tea that we all love!

Oh- My dad drinks unsweet tea. We have never had any issues finding it but I dont think he ever has looked for it inside the park.... hmm

No problem.

All the full-service restaurants had unsweetened tea.

Also, I recall a kiosk for tea in Epcot (outside China) and another inside Animal Kingdom (in Asia, I think) that had multiple unsweetened tea choices. As for Magic Kingdom & Hollywood Studios, I can't say I had the opportunity to locate an iced tea.....the Margarita from Prime Time was fantasmic......oh, Prime Time has to-go cups, they have unsweetened tea.....

The Gold Peak machine, does this mean it is basically a concentrate or is it fresh brewed? I can't stand iced tea from the soda dispensing machines, either sweet or unsweet and being a Pepsi person, I was hoping to rely on tea for my trip.

The Gold Peak machines are not fresh brewed. They are the concentrates that have water added to them as you dispense them. Not the best unsweetened tea, but OK in a pinch.
