How hard is it to get Christmas week & New Years at the 7 month window BC BWV, OKW WL

I hope someone can answer you. I'm thinking the same thing for either Christmas week or New Year's week in the coming years.

It's not easy. You can get on a waitlist for all of them and then take the first one that comes through. Ususally that is OKW. Then, stay on the waitlist for the others, in case they come through (if you dont prefer to stay at OKW). We have found at that busy time, that the wait list tends to open up at the 30 day mark when people tend to cancel at the last minute so they don't lose points flexibility.

We also book rooms at other resorts just in case it never comes through...Last year, we had ressies at POR, but were able to cancel because OKW came through. Good Luck!

I agree that OKW is usually the first to open up, but I have not had to be put on a waiting list since the Millenium1999-2000 time. Although our home resort is OKW we did not make plans for last years trip until July 2002 and had no problem getting 5 nights at OKW, granted it was after x-mas 12/29-1/04 but it included the New year's and post x-mas week. We are planning on going again that same week and just made ressies yesterday, again with no problems at OKW. I know that OKW is larger and we just love it, but others prefer the location of VWL, BCV,BWV.
You will not loose if that is where you get the ressies.
