We are hoping to try to get a seating to see the fireworks. What time is good and how hard is it to score ressies if calling exactly 180 days out?

I think because this is a signature dining, it might not be as difficult to get. I did get reservations for the first week of FEb back at the begin of dec, but got 5:30pm. Because the winter slow season, wishes will be early at 7pm, so we should catch them at the end of the dinner.

I would try to make the ADR as soon as you're sure about your date, to make sure you can get the time you want. Usually people prefer to be dining during Wishes so those times will probably go first. :)

It probably won't be too hard, but its still safe to call months in advance. If you can't make it, you can always cancel.

If you call at 180 days, you should get the time you want. Twice before I have called at only about 90 days and could get in, but not at a time to view fireworks. For our upcoming trip, I called at 4 months and snagged a time, but we are going during a "slow" season.

Calling earlier is always better, but we've never had a problem getting an ADR at California Grill.
