We have never done a character meal before, but are thinking of squeezing one in on a non-park day. I have a 2 and 4 year old that I think would enjoy Chef Mickeys for breakfast. Everything I have read states that a PS can be made 90 days in advance. We are going to be at WDW in August. Do you think it is too late to get reservations? Does this one tend to fill up fast?

Also, do 2 year olds eat for free or do I need to pay for him?

Thanks!

Good morning! We just got back from WDW in May and had a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We were with a group from our church and due to some confusion at the hotel my husband had to take my place. He had no desire to go before, but I got a glowing report from him afterwards! He said it was the perfect place to meet characters. My daughter and the others met: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald, and Chip and Dale. He said the food was good and the staff was friendly. We booked our PS through Disney Group and Sales, but I don't think you will have a big problem getting a PS. You can call either 60 or 90 days ahead of time. Hint: Book a late sitting(around 10:30) and then you won't have to worry about lunch. We went right when it opened at 7AM so we wouldn't miss the extra magical hour at the Magic Kingdom. Our group was in and out in less than an hour! Hope this helps! We're going back in December!

I called last week and got PS for 7 people at 5:00 on July 27th! I was pleasantly surprised that I got this PS with short notice.

Of course I am going to keep trying for CRT, but I did get PSB breakfast for July 29th also.

If you don't get it right away keep trying.
Good luck!

I called a few days ago to make PS ressies for dinner at Chef Mickey's on 7/16 and had no problem getting the time I wanted!

I called during our vacation last October and got a PS for the next morning. It was for 7am, but we took it.

I really dont think its that hard. I have never had a problem. I just called last week to cancel my july 4th dinner reservations and add the 5th for breakfast and I had alot to pick from for times.

2 y/o eat for free. Its one of my kids favorite places to meet the characters!

Thanks guys! I guess I will try calling tomorrow after I speak with DH to try to arrange a day/time. This will be such a surprise for my little ones! I'm sure they will love it :bounce: Plus my little guy eats for free, woohoo :Pinkbounc ! Can't beat that!

Now to pick a day...

As one who has never made a PS or eaten at a character meal -- yet one who realizes the need to do so in January -- what times are generally available for a Chef Mickey PS?
