How hard/easy is it to travel to other resorts from POR?

We are planning to do 10 days at POR in early Dec. 06. Assuming crowds are not a problem, how hard is it to use Disney transportation to get to other resorts for dinner? We're thinking tentatively of eating one night each at WL, AKL, and CR. I've read the Disney transportation can take a long time (the route is long, not the wait). This is our first trip, and I don't know the routes to other resorts. For instance, to get to CR, would I take a bus then the monorail?

We will not have our own car...not having one is relaxing to us! This is my only worry about POR. Thanks!

It seems like traveling to the WL and CR should be pretty painless. You can take the bus to the MK, and then take the boat launch from MK to the WL, and you can walk to the Contemporary (it's probably a 5 minute walk or so from the bus depot at the MK).

For AKL, you could take a bus to any theme park, and transfer to the AKL bus there, or you could take the boat to DTD, and take the AKL bus from there.
