I am booked currently at AKL Concierge Studio for Jan 6-10, 2011. I am going to call soon and see about adding a night to the beginning. Impossible ? What place might i have the best luck booking ? Points are not an issue, I haven't banked our extra ones yet.

I wouldn't think you would have trouble adding a night, just not concierge. It is not the resort for you, it is the location. Unless it is a marathon or something you should be able to add somewhere at "a" resort. For our trip to AKV this Dec., we are doing the same thing, arriving a day earlier than what we thought. We are just paying cash to stay at Pop that night. It was easier to swallow $92 a night vs. $250.
