I want to go to DLP with a friend next June and they all either can't afford it or don't want to go there/on holiday at all! They must be mad, turning down DLP!!!

Hope I find someone, I really wanna go back to DLP!

Some people just don't have the Disney spirirt!!!

That is not on Sophie :( You could advertise for a holiday mate here LOL :teeth:

I know how you feel Sophie, when I was scouting for DLRP mates for next month I had 14 people interested then it dropped (when they heard the £195pp price tag for 3 night/flights/car hire/2 day park tickets) to 7 people then 2 couldnt get time off work so it was booked for 5 and now 2 may have dropped out aswell. I am just going with the flow and stopped getting stressed months ago or i'd scream!

You could always just come and visit us and spend the entire weekend scrapbooking ( cropping?) your Disney photos with DW :thumbsup2

lol - maybe I should advertise on here! We could get a whole group going, can you imagine it??

Your wife could come to DLP and get even more pics to scrapbook.

You should see the pile of photos she has still to scrapbook. I took 750 on the trip we have just come back from.
It might be a good idea to do a UK diser's cyber crop though :grouphug: what do you think?

That would be a great idea if there are enough DIS scrappers on the UK boards. I'll post up a thread tomorrow.

Maybe they've realised how expensive DLP is compared to other holidays? People I've spoken to at work who have been to DLP all mention the cost of both accomodation and food. They talk about this before talking about what they enjoyed about the park. A few days in DLP can cost the equivalent of a fortnight on a beach in the med (not that I would ever want to do that) but some people like that kind of thing.

If you're trying to persuade your friends to get a Disney fix, go for the real one in Orlando. I saw a flights, car & room only deal in a local travel agent for June '07 for 2 adults and 2 kids for £2000 - and that was for 21 nights. Now that's what I call value.

Sounds like too much hard work taking family and friends along. Why not just go with your family, at least you can please yourself what you do when you are there and not worry about the rest of the group. Our best friends are lovely, but the female half of the couple can take a good half hour to make up her mind what she wants from the chinese takeaway on a Saturday night, there's no way I'd ask them to holiday with us, my temper would last the first day and then that would be it :guilty:

 ARE THEY MAD £195pp including everything is a great price if i was your friend i would have jumped at that price. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I can't go with family, that's why I'm looking at going with a friend. I would love to go to Orlando but seeing as I have an upper budget of £500 for everything (travel, accomodation, park entry, food, souvenirs - the lot), there's no way it's a viable option. I've looked around but all the cheap holidays are to places like Ibiza and I would just go insane after even 24 hours on a beach holiday. I looked at Port Aventura but the rides there are not me, all too big and fast so it's out too. Looks like I'm stuck!

Sorry to hear this, Sophie, I think that's a great price, and your friends must be mad to turn it down. I hope you can find someone to go with :wizard:

:sad2: here's hoping you manage to find somewhere that you agree on it's such a shame :sad2:
