I made it to the 250,000 point level. My losing question was "Hodophobia is more commonly known as fear of... traveling, crossing the street, thunder (and one other choice)".
I had one lifeline left(Phone a Complete Stranger), didn't know the answer, didn't walk away(had forgotten I could do that) so I lost the extra pins, polled the audience and like a fool went with their ("60% say") answer.
The correct answer is fear of...
Travelling. The audience said that it was fear of thunder and, like an idiot, I had forgotten my dinosaur words of old..."Thunder"-lizard?...look up which word is an Anglicized version of the Latin.
If you like/want to play, here's a couple of interesting things...
*Take a look at how the questions are constructed. In the first few, they might be positively-worded questions, similar to the question I bombed out on. Then about question #5 or so, the questions are switched to a negative question, worded something like "which one of the following DON'T belong?" Then the questions' structure is switched back.
*They like to use obscure "-phobia" definitions, every so often.
*Take a look of Dave & Jennifer Marx' website(Passporter's Guide folks). He won a cruise and has some tips/hints.
*The first show of the day usually has the lightest crowd. Fewer people playing, more of a chance that you'll get in the Hot Seat

agnes!
PS - The last time we went, in the Fastest Finger round, my DH was first, I was second and our DD was third. DH made it to the 32,000 level, DD loved his cap and yeah, she left it at a park later that day. We reported the loss to Lost& Found, but it never did turn up
