How hard are the last 5 questions on WWTBAM?

Feeling like a total dork asking htis....but where is this game? Where can you play it?

It's at the Studio on Mickey Ave right next to Walt Disney: One Man's Dream.

I made it to the 250,000 point level. My losing question was "Hodophobia is more commonly known as fear of... traveling, crossing the street, thunder (and one other choice)".

I had one lifeline left(Phone a Complete Stranger), didn't know the answer, didn't walk away(had forgotten I could do that) so I lost the extra pins, polled the audience and like a fool went with their ("60% say") answer.

The correct answer is fear of...
Travelling. The audience said that it was fear of thunder and, like an idiot, I had forgotten my dinosaur words of old..."Thunder"-lizard?...look up which word is an Anglicized version of the Latin.

If you like/want to play, here's a couple of interesting things...
*Take a look at how the questions are constructed. In the first few, they might be positively-worded questions, similar to the question I bombed out on. Then about question #5 or so, the questions are switched to a negative question, worded something like "which one of the following DON'T belong?" Then the questions' structure is switched back.
*They like to use obscure "-phobia" definitions, every so often.
*Take a look of Dave & Jennifer Marx' website(Passporter's Guide folks). He won a cruise and has some tips/hints.
*The first show of the day usually has the lightest crowd. Fewer people playing, more of a chance that you'll get in the Hot Seat :teeth: .

agnes!
PS - The last time we went, in the Fastest Finger round, my DH was first, I was second and our DD was third. DH made it to the 32,000 level, DD loved his cap and yeah, she left it at a park later that day. We reported the loss to Lost& Found, but it never did turn up :guilty: .

I have been lucky enough, with help from my fellow DISers who have given me many hints, to be in the Hot Seat several times.

When I was last in, late last year, they let you go until you missed which is why some shows run longer than others. They used to bring you back for the next show when they first started.

As far as how hard the questions are, if you are on a low point question do not look for 'trick' questions. They tend to bend over backward to make sure that you get the hat and pins. Is hard with the lights, music and you all watching though. Brain freeze. I once saw an obviously brilliant young person bomb out just because she could think several layers more than a 'normal' person. Luckily I am NOT that smart. :rotfl:

No question is hard IF you know the answer and no question is easy IF you do not know the answer. :wizard:

The worst I ever did (luckily still in the audience) was not know what Duck Duck Goose was and the best I ever did was to know Catherine the Great's real name (250,000).

I am hoping to get lucky and get the right questions someday myself. :rolleyes1 (NO boy band questions, please??)

Still feeling stoopid, but which park? (forgive me! I've never been to Disney World---my first trip is this December!!! :teeth: )

It's at the Disney-MGM Studios. :wave2:

We're going to spend a couple of days in the parks before our cruise in January (no, I didn't win the million point cruise, we paid for this one... lol).

Some friends want to come with us, which is fine, but I'm not sure how to gently break it to them that I'll probably spend our entire MGM day playing Play It! until I either get the Hot Seat or it's dinner time. ;)

Okay, okay, I admit it, I am a crackhead for Millionaire. :)

What Amendment repealed the 19th Amendment?

Who is fourth in line for the British throne?

Who was originally offered the role of Baron von Trapp in the Sound of Music?

LOL I'm guilty too...2 trips ago, my friend and I did EVERY SINGLE Millionaire show one day...during that quick 3-day trip I think we sat in on 14 shows total! And I didn't even make it to the Hot Seat that trip!

Thank HEAVEN I made it to the hot seat after only 2 shows on my trip earlier this month...I discovered there's more at the Studios than just Millionaire and The Great Movie Ride (which is what I'd ride to kill the time between Millionaire shows!) ! :teeth:

I made it to 64,000 before bombing out at 125,00 my question was a quote and I had to say who said it I asked someone in the park and they didn't know either so there we go.
The best bit for me was getting to the hot seat, The fastest finger question was on baseball, The lady behind said I don't know anything about baseball, I turned to her and said you think you've got problems I'm from the UK and we don't even play baseball. You could have knocked me down with a feather when the next moment my seat no. is flashing up there on the board!!! When the compere realised I was a Brit he said shame on you Americans on a baseball question too! Needless to say it was a complete guess. :rotfl:

Hi Nutty,Goofy here.

Here are my answers to your questions. Let me know it I made to the hot seat or have to linger in my seat awhile longer.

What Amendment repealed the 19th Amendment? None, I hope, as it gave women the right to vote.

Who is fourth in line for the British throne? Randy Andy, I believe.

Who was originally offered the role of Baron von Trapp. I am totally stumped on this one. My only thought it is might beTheodore Bikel, who starred in the stage version??

There's other stuff at the studios? :rotfl:

For us, kind of not, I have back problems and can't ride many things, so TOT and R'N'R are out for us completely. Well, not for DH, but he's a fraidy cat. :rolleyes1

I think my poor DH is just going to have to hope that I make the hot seat on our first round so he can go to Epcot instead. ;)
