Trying to figure out which dining reservation to go for first -

Saturday - Columbus Day weekend (60 + 2) Space 220 Lounge or Fantasmic pkg - Sci Fi

other option would be Sunday - Columbus Day weekend (60 + 3) Space 220 Dinner or Fantasmic pkg - Sci Fi

If I am able to book the Lounge - will go for drinks and then dinner around the showcase

I had difficulty booking the Fantasmic! package at Sci-Fi (even at 60+ days out -- I could get it, but I had to be a little flexible on time and party size), but I think the other restaurants are easier to get. There was plenty of availability at Brown Derby, 50's PrimeTime, and Mama Melrose when I booked. Space 220 is a much harder "get." (Even at 65 days out, I could only get a Space 220 Lounge reservation for 3pm-ish, and only if I booked us at 2 tables for 2 people instead of 1 for 4 people.)

Upon the advice of some on this board concerning the frequent cancelation of Fantasmic! during hurricane/storm season, I did book a back-up lunch reservation at Sci-Fi the next day. If the morning weather forecast on our Fantasmic! dining package day looks ominous (e.g., as though Fantasmic! is likely to get canceled), we can cancel it 2+ hours ahead, take our chances on standby seating if the show goes forward, and still have a meal at Sci-Fi the next day.

I'd prioritize Space 220, and do it at the +3 mark, since you can always try standby for F!

Do realize even at the +3 mark Space 220 might not be available.

This doesn't answer your question, but we just did the Sci Fi package and to say I was disappointed with Sci Fi would be an understatement. The food was ok, but nothing to get excited about, and our waitress had difficulties communicating with us (and with the kitchen too, since when the food was brought out, there were mistakes and a small argument started with us (the guests) and the person setting the plates/orders, in that HE told us, this is what you ordered and this is what they ordered, when in fact it was opposite, so we simply switched the plates, to which the server got upset about). We opted for Sci Fi this time because we've always done a Fantasmic package and wanted to try a different place.

What non alcoholic beverages are included? Shakes? Specialty drinks?
