How good is WDW resort shampoo+conditioner?

I have wavy hair but nothing that requires special products. I am going to WDW for fun, not to attract anyone. I want to carry on my luggage to MCO but then check it back so I can fill it with souvenirs, I can save some space and money by not bringing travel shampoos. How good is the shampoo+cond? Does it dry out hair? Would bring my wet brush to brush through it before I leave the shower. Thanks for answering this odd question! :)

Personally I hate the Disney shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair SO dry. My mom and my friend that came with me on a recent trip agree with me. But everyone has different hair so it's all subjective in my opinion. I use it when I'm there but I'm not ordering it to use at home.

Disney uses H20+ products in the hotels. Love them. https://www.h2oplus.com/

When I'm not bleaching and dying my hair, H20+ is my regular shampoo/conditioner brand. I have longish, fine wavy hair that likes to get frizzy in humidity. The H20+ products are good for shininess and less frizz. I like the fragrance too, it's not cloying and heavy. Smells clean to me. But I've been bleaching everything blonde lately, so I've had to switch to a gentler shampoo without the sulfates to keep the dye from fading. I'll probably switch back to H20+ shampoo/conditioner in a few weeks when it's all faded anyway. Sulfate-free shampoos give me that gross build-up feeling after a while.

H20+ is also my every day body wash/lotion/facial moisturizer/serum/face wash/mask brand. Awesome products. I smell pretty. And my skin looks great too.

I'm with the it "dries my hair out" group. However, I still use it when I'm at Disney because I too, have wavy to curly hair when I don't straighten it. The FL humidity won't allow me to have straight hair, so I just accept it will be a vacation with bad hair days no matter what I do! It's good quality shampoo, but it's not a favorite for my hair type.

It smells great, but it makes my wavy short (recently - used to be shoulder length) hair feel like straw. I always use it because I don’t want to take my own, but if I were staying longer than four or five days, I would stop at Walgreens and buy different products.

While I love the scent of both the shampoo and conditioner, I agree with those saying they're too drying for wavy/curly hair.

My hair is wavy and delicate. Would have a classic straw head were I to use those much.

I suggest popping into Basin or Basin White for their shampoo and conditioner bars for curly/delicate hair. The CMs at Basin White in the GF are particularly good at helping customers find the best bars for their needs.

I buy each by the half dozen to stock up. My DH really likes the dandruff shampoo bar they recommended for him.

The bars are wonderful for travel. Pop them into a ziptop bag, and away you go with no concerns about leakage or running out. DH washes his hair daily; one bar lasts him a couple months easily.

I hate it- Lol. Like others it is a straw like feeling, but the biggest complaint was I had the hardest time brushing out my two girls hair with it. I ended up making the conditioner "leave in" after they had washed/conditioned it, because I just could brush their hair. Now they have super fine hair and it does tangle easy, but I never had this issue with any other product. I now always bring our own stuff and some actual leave in, in case they hop in the pool or something. I think I should add my DH had no problem with it.

I love the smell! Quality is ok. Nothing to write home about but gets the job done. I'd say dont bother bringing your own...can always get traditional name brand delivered via instacart if worst came to worst.
My hair is straight and dyed. DH has straight naturally colored hair. DS has wavy hair and it worked for the 3 of us. The little ones used kids shampoo. Considering the biggest issue was getting the shampoo to wash out which happened to all of us I am going to blame that on the water/shower head.

I am not picky at all but won’t use it on my almost shoulder length curly hair. My daughter won’t use it either but she is picky. She won’t use anything with sulfates in it. It is just too drying. We both also can’t stand the scent of their products tho I do usually end up using the shower gel anyway.

We use it while there - saves a bit of packing. ;) And I bring home what is left and it gets used up. I think it’s fine, but I seem to need to change products every so often, so I rotate among 3-4 different ones. L’Oreal works the best for me. For a 5-6 night trip, the Disney room shampoo works out well.
