I have been reading tips to eat dinner there and then catch the F! show..how well can you see the show if you do this?? Anyone have advice on this...like do the waiters mind that you are taking up the tables or do they expect it??

THanks!

We did a late dinner one night & was seated outside.....we weren't expecting to see Fantasmic. That was probably a good thing, since people line up anywhere they don't keep the traffic flowing. So either you'll have people lined up in front of the outside seating or that is where the traffic flows. So seeing the show would be blocked & depending the time of year....it could be virtually impossible to see. You'd only catch the stuff that's high up.

That was our experience in 05.

I had read about that as well, and so the last time I was there (this month), I made sure to check out the area. It looked to me like any view would be completely blocked by people standing. So if you are tall and were willing to stand up to see the show, it may be a nice way to sit and enjoy a meal while you wait. But anyone like me, who is short would not be able to see anything.

Its horrible and worse during the busy times. We enjoy the show so much we always do the dessert seating, but that is just us.

Thank you! :flower3: I was thinking that the crowds would block our view, but thought I must be missing something?:confused3

We thoroughly enjoyed watching it from Cafe Orleans. We made or reservations for about 45 minutes prior to showtime. When we were done eating, we asked the server if we could stay and she even directed us to the best place to sit! We transferred all of our drinks to "to-go" cups and relaxed while we watched the show.

My BIL did stand up and put my DD4 (at the time) on his shoulders, but the rest of us adults remained seated and we saw almost everything except what was super low to the water. We were all pleased with it, mainly because none of us wanted to stake out seats an hour or more prior to the show. We wanted to be able to eat and have a nice dinner instead! :thumbsup2

This is what we are going to do this upcoming May trip, so I'll report back and let you all know how it went for us. I have also done the dessert thing, which we LOVED, but opt not to this time. Last time there was so much in that dessert box that we were able to put it in the hotel fridge and nibble on it for the next few days. This time, however, we are seeing F! on Friday May 13th and flying home the next morning, so I don't want to pack/transport or throw away uneaten food. In addition, it's just my young son and myself, and I vividly remember the wait last time - waiting in line from about 6pm to 8pm to put our names down for our seats. So this time, we'll settle for less than the best, and hope for something nice in a different way!
