How good is Sanaa really?

I'm considering lunch at Sanaa in January because I think DD (2 yo) would like watching the animals while we eat. We are not staying at AKL, so we would be going there just to eat. I've seen a lot of good reviews for Sanaa, but mostly from people who have never tried Indian food before. We can get great Indian food where we live, and we eat it all the time. Will we be disappointed with Sanaa? I don't expect it to be the best I've ever eaten, but is the food at least decent?

I'm also someone who eats Indian very frequently (it's my favorite), and I really like Sanaa. Their naan is the best I've ever had, hands down. I prefer my local restaurant's paneer makhani, because their sauce is creamier (and a touch spicier) than Sanaa's. Sanaa's is still very good, though. Eating there is a must for us every trip.

I don't eat Indian food very often, but I'm not a total stranger to it, either. We all liked Sanaa, especially the bread service. I don't crave anything I ate there, although I would jump at the chance to have the bread service again.

Besides the food, the atmosphere was also nice - the restaurant was quiet (especially compared to other WDW restaurants), and we were seated by the windows and therefore able to watch the animals as we dined.

We really enjoy the food at Sanaa. While we've ordered a number of tasty things in our visits, the bread service is our fave. Our kids also really enjoy the food there.

While I love the atmosphere and animals at Saana, I would not equate it to real Indian food. I think it is a great starting place if you are American and have never had Indian food and want to try it. I would not consider it authentic Indian. I have eaten there four times periodically but has always disappointed. The only thing I enjoy is the bread service.

The Bread service is the best we have ever had... We really go just for it and the butter chicken for my DH..

It is Indian-South African, so a bit different than authentic Indian (and somewhat Americanized on top of that). But it's still good. We have Indian fairly frequently, and Sanaa isn't the best I've ever had, but it's better than most of the local places in my area, if only for the quality of the base ingredients.

We LOVE Sanaa! The atmosphere alone is one of our very favorites in WDW and worth eating a meal there for! I am getting ready to schedule a dinner there for our September trip!

We did Saana with ODD when she was 2 and it was great! We had a window seat and she loved watching the animals while we ate. We aren't Indian food connoisseurs, but thought everything was very good. We're going back next trip, we enjoy it as a midday break on our AK day.
