Hi,
We are possibly planning our trip to the UK and DLP in May-June 2007, is that a good time weather wise and crowd level wise to visit DLP? I'd hate to get there and it was snowing or something!! Also, what is the best way to travel from the UK to DLP and where would be a close, cheap place to stay? Are the onsite hotels all expensive? Thanks

May-June are just getting warm - certainly no snow but it's very variable. It might be lovely but bring some woollies just in case - or buy some Disney ones when you arrive! One of our half-term holidays is at the end of May so best avoid that. June should be perfect for low crowd levels and nice weather.

There are cheap flights or you can go by train from London straight to DLP.

Some of the onsite hotels are very expensive and others are very reasonable. There are also 5 or 6 slightly offsite (but linked to the park by free shuttle buses) which are very reasonably priced.
Enjoy planning and ask any questions you like!!! There's bound to be someone here who can help you.

Hi,

haven't been in May or June I'm afraid so I don't know what the weather or the crowds are like.

Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel santa Fe are both onsite and very reasonably priced - they have also both introduced a half board option this year which seems very reasonable - although that would tie you down to one specific place quite a lot.

The details of those hotels and the slightly off site ones mentioned by Di are here:http://www.disneylandparis.com/uk/hotels/index.htm

PS BMI baby are having a sale just now and easyjet - for flights

May/June is a really good time to visit because it is quite quiet and the weather is just getting hot. Just make sure you miss the UK/France school holidays, and it'll be perfect. :)

Also, May/June 2007 is a brilliant time to visit because not only do you get the most beautiful Disney resort, but you also get to see:
- Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast (which opens April 8th this year)
- Toon Studios (with Finding Nemo & Cars attractions! opens 2007)
- 15th Anniversary (no details yet, but they *are* celebrating it!)

I'd say for me, Eurostar is far and away the best way to get to the resort from UK. It could be more expensive than flights, but it's so, so easy and quick!! If the prices for the direct Eurostar (waterloo to dlrp) are too expensive, then check out a service where you have to change at Lille Europe. It worked out *much* cheaper for me, and I was surprised at how unscary it was having to change trains! hehe

You should have a truly fantastic time, I hope you get there!

Hello Aussiedaisy

Just to clarify that the half term holiday week is 29th May to 2nd June. As Di has said avoid that week and also the two weekends either side if possible because it will be very busy. I know lots of people who are booked for around then or are planning to book.
Happy planning!
