We are on the 9/14 Wonder and are curious as to how full the ship is during that time. We have done our other cruises in winter and Spring.
Is there anyway to check and see how full it is?

Steve

although we've sailed in early October and December only, I would think that the ship would be less full than on holidays, and when kids are in school...

We've only sailed in September and there seems to be a lot of kids. I think the ship is almost always full. Last year I remember them saying something about there being 800 kids onboard.

The only cruise we have been on that wasn't crowded was when we were on the one the week after 9/11/01. A lot of people canceled at last minute and the dining room seemed to be half empty for the second dining.

The other 2 years we have sailed in September, there have been a lot of kids (of course, since I have never sailed any other time, it may just seem like a lot of me and if I were to see what it is like in July, it may change my perspective ;) )

We are too!
We are planning on a basically full ship, so that if it's not, we will be pleasantly suprised. (and if it is, then we won't be disappointed!)
Neither of us has ever been on a cruise before, but we just can't wait!!! :D

We have tried a couple of times to post a "Who's on the Sept. 14th Wonder"...and didn't have very many replies. There were a few who were couples only, but also a few large groups, including ours. Still, it doesn't look as though it will be too crowded unless everyone else who is sailing doesn't read these boards.
We were on the Wonder at the end of May-first of June 2002, and it was full to capacity, but we didn't find it "crowded". In fact, I was amazed at how uncrowded it seemed. Castaway Cay family beach was pretty full..but really not the crowds I'd read about, where some say you have to fight for a chair & shade. It was very pleasant.

I understand that last Sept... ( 2002 ) may not be a good example, because these sailings were especially full, due to the big $99.00 promotion offered post-911.... I believe that the promotion was 'Book a cruise, sail again in Sept. for only $99.00. I know that there seem to be rooms in all categories available on our sailing in Sept... I am hoping that it is not super crowded with kids, for DS sake!!! It is the kids clubs and pools that seem to be the most crowded!

I hope it isn't as crowded this year, but then we are going on a 3 night (Sept. 18th) and I do think those tend to be more crowded because it is over a weekend and kids only have to miss 2 days of school.

Next year, we have a 7 day booked for September, maybe that will be less crowded with kids. I know the pool with Mickey's slide can be VERY crowded.

Thanks for all the input and help .

:D We too are on the Sept 14 Disney Wonder. DH and I are celebrating our 10 yr anniversary and taking our 3 year old with us for her first cruise. We have sailed Carnival once and RCL 3 times but this is a first with Disney.

We haven't decided where to stay prior to the cruise. Thinking we will fly in Friday and do Disney World on Sat!

So much fun! We hope it isn't really crowded too since School is in session!

Welcome TexasGirl! Sounds like you have a good plan. Once you get a taste of Disney World, you'll wish you had more time!
You'll love cruising Disney....I wish I could see it through your daughter's eyes, how wonderful that will be! Enjoy!!!

How exciting. A wedding on Castaway Cay!!!!! The cruise is close now! We have our hotel booked, rental car booked, and are counting down the days.

TexasGirl check out the thread titled "only????13 more sails to our Sept 14 cruise". There you will be able to meet a few others that are cruising on that date. Needless to say we are all a "little" excited about going!!!!!
