How fast do the CP Dinner Packages book up?

I'm just wondering if I have to book ours as soon as they become available, or if I can wait a bit. I just purchased our plane tickets and paid off our resort today, so my wallet is feeling the pain right now.

We hope to attend the 5p.m. show on Wed. Dec. 15th, if it makes a difference.

I'm interested in the answer to this question as well, since I will be out of town when you can start to book for the CP. I'm looking at the 6th of December, 5:00 p.m. show.

I know that the week I was there, 12/7-12/12, there was a show rained out and in the rescheduling some people had to change their dinner ressies. So even on the same day there were some places/times available. However, if you have your heart set on one particular resturaunt, book a lot earlier. Although some people were able to book the same day, not every resturaunt was available.

My dd and I made a last minute trip last Dec. Decided to try a CP package. If I remember correctly, I booked it about 35 days before the package date! We got the time we wanted at The Garden Grill, which was where we wanted to eat. So, I think that unless you really have to have a certain time at one of the more popular restaurants you shouldn't have to be on the phone Thursday at 7 a.m.

Dumb question - What is CP package ?

I thought CP was Crystal Palace.

Garden Grill - EPCOT with CP package ?
Better seats for the fireworks ?
Didn't know you could do that.


We've done the MGM dinner/Mickey fireworks show package.
Sat in the witch section, but no long lines and great seats.

I think the only dates that fill up quickly are 24th,25th and New Years Eve.The week between Christmas and New Years is extremely busy so I would think those nights could fill up also.We have gone to CP each year since 1992 at first part of December and had no troble booking dinner package we wanted.

I've waited a few days after they came out and got what I wanted for early December. I wouldn't sit on the busy phones on Thursday morning. Wait until the afternoon or the next day.

Do you need your CC just to hold the reservation or do they charge you for the CP right away?

When you book,if you cancel 48 hours or it might be 24 you get a full refund.It usally takes a couple weeks for it to show up on your CC.

We called about a month out and could only get our third choice for dinner on a Friday night the first week in December. i would call as soon as my wallet allowed.
