How far to sea world and universal

I have a few questions about miles and time it takes to travel-
From Lax to Disneyland
From Disneyland to Universal Studios
From Disneyland to Sea World

We have been to Universal Studios and Sea world in FL. How does CA compare? Deciding between more disney days and time at the beach or a few other theme parks. What is a favorite beach to visit while staying in the Disneyland area?

Distance to SW in San Diego is about 80 miles. Time it takes depends heavily on when you leave. If you go on weekends or mid-day it will take at least 80 minutes - but I have been in traffic jams between San Diego and Orange County at all times of the day. If you go during morning or evening hours it could take 3+ hours.

Similar story for USH. It is about 40 miles away and and can be reached in 45 minutes mid-day, early morning and late evening. Otherwise it could easily be 2+ hours.

Haven't been to the ones in Florida so can't compare.

As far as beaches, I like Newport Beach which is 15-20 miles from DLR. But there are several others that are good including Huntington Beach.

I would recommend a minimum of 3 days at DLR. Four days would be better, but it depends on your group, age of children, time of year, etc.

We traveled to seaworld in about 1 1/2 hrs and LA in about 1 hour...heavy traffic going north! We traveled to SD over the weekend which could explain the ease!
our favorite beach we visited was laguna. we also went to huntington which was nice too.
Can't compare to FL since we never visited those places in FL ... to me Seaworld was worth the trip but didn't enjoy USH much because my children are younger. We spent 3 days at DL, 2 days in SD, 2 beach days, 1 USH
