How far out to book?

Hi everyone -

As a West Coast Canadian, DLP is a whole new thing for me. We've been to the American Parks 25+ times, but never across the Atlantic. How far in advance is it generally suggested to book? We will likely book into Davy Crockett Ranch cabins, since we like having a kitchen with our three kids (all under age 10). Also, we always book direct through Disney's official websites... is that the same advice for DLP?

Thanks for your help!

You can book about 11 months in advance, and it's always a gamble if better offers will come along or not. Either way, check multiple country websites, Germany sometimes has different offers than France, or Spain, or the Netherlands. It is allowed to book offers from countries you do not reside in. Usually the US website features the highest price. Not sure if that is the same for Canada.

For the Davy Crocket Ranch, will you have a car, or will you use taxis? There is no shuttle service.

For Disneyland Paris, there are no resellers or discounted tickets. Most people will book directly at DLP. You can book your hotel separately on sites like booking.com and tickets only at DLP, but for that make sure you do the math. Packages usually come with some free dining or other vouchers.

One more thing to keep in mind, when you book via DLP: They sell packages including tickets for how many days you are at the resort. Including your arrival and departure day. DLP doesn't have an online system where you book 5 nights at the hotel and 2 days at the park. If you want that, you would have to call and book room & tickets separately. Also here: Do the math.

Thanks! That’s helpful. We’d rent a car for sure. We like having the ability to get groceries and such. I read parking is included if you’re staying on site?

With Davy Crockett I'm not sure, although you may want to look into using Uber instead of car hire if your onsite for a long period. Big shops are not far away at all. Again do the math. How long are you staying?

Will you be seeing Paris/London after? (Jump on the train for both outside of the gates) When are you planning on coming? - Love October here because the summer is too busy for me. The haloween decorations in my opinion are better at dlp than wdw... I love frontier land! But you may find it too cold.

If possible try and avoid the weekends and French school holidays.
