How far is Universal studios from DL

Planning a trip in November to CA and will be going to DL. But would also like to take my kids to Universal Studios. Are these 2 parks somewhat close to one another?

The two resorts are 36 miles apart, but it can take about an hour or more to reach one from the other, depending on traffic. By most standards, though, yes, they are "somewhat close to one another".

On Thursday, July 29, we drove to USH from the Park Vue Inn on Harbor Blvd.

We left at 7:20am and arrived at USH at 8:40am.

We left USH at 9:00pm and the ride back took 1 hour.
