How far is Universal from Disney

First time visiting Disney.

Going in August to Disney, staying at the Pop Century. 2 children 8 & 9 and 3 adults.

Would like to go to Universal for a visit. How far is it from Disney. How can I get there. Taxi? How expensive will it be.

I would say approx. 15 minutes or so from US to WDW.

I bet that taxi ride will cost you about $35 USD each way too...especially if the meter is running while you're stuck in traffic on I-4.

We have always used Mears. They do have a town car service. They have picked us up at our resort, then return when we call, (you do need to give a 45 minute allowance to pick up from the park) The fee was $40.00 round trip, and of course you then would tip for good service.

Taxi is at least $35 each way. I think we paid $45 from Universal to AK and $35 from Downtown Disney to Universal.

There are locations at the Dolphin (I think) and at WDW (not in a hotel) Walt Disney Car Care Center to be exact. We had a one day rental during our trip last year for our park - free day. I simply made the reservation online (there are only two or three rental companies that service these two locations). I did call (I think or maybe I did it on line too, I cannot recall) to schedule a pick up, which they did with a shuttle bus. Drop off was easy too, with a ride back to the hotel.

Enterprise and Alamo are the companies that I know of. We used Alamo and I would use them again. It also helped that Alamo shared the parking lot with a gas station, making the fill-up prior to return ultra easy and convenient.
