Anyone know how far of a walk it is? How long would you guess it would take to walk from your bus stop all the way to the back of the World, by Germany?
(At a slow pace). Thanks!:yay:

As the crow flies, its about a half mile. Since its not a straight walk (big lake in the way), figure a little more than that.

Around the lake is more than a mile, so I'm guessing from the front of the park it's more than a mile. If you stroll at a leisurely pace it could take 30 minutes or longer.

It is about a half a mile from the main gate to the back of World Showcase. Plan on 20-30 minutes walk time to get there. :)

Actually, according to Disney- it's only a half mile walk around the World Showcase. But after Illuminations, it feels a lot longer than that!!!

I always plan on arriving at Epcot at least an hour before any World Showcase ADRs. That gives you time to get off the bus, walk to the entrance, get through security, take your picture in front of Spaceship Earth, walk to the restaurant and check-in.

You can also take the boat from Future World over to Germany if it's not during Illuminations. We do this a lot with little kids since they get tired of walking.

If you're figuring out time from your bus stop, make sure you plan enough time to get through the line. For some reason the line at Epcot always seems the longest to me. You would think that since they have another entrance in World Showcase, that the line would be shorter but it's consistently been the slowest line for us.

I just did a google earth pathway and it is ablou 8/10 of a mile from the gate to the american adventure.

thanks for the info. I just recently discoverd there are boats going in the world showcase lagoon, cant believe i didnt know that -been there 3x, but anyways, that'll be a great way to shorten the walk for the older members in my family.

If you have mobility-challenged family members, try this- it worked for my Dsis, who has CP and needs crutches for walking.

We dropped her at the main entrance to the Board Walk Inn, then parked in their satellite lot (If you are using disney busses just go to the BWI). We went in through the BWI and down to their dock, where we took a Friendship Boat over to Epcot's International Gateway, which is located between the Great Britian and French pavillions. This is a much shorter walk to any of the pavillions on the far side of the lake (germany, usa, morocco, etc)- maybe even a shorter wak to Canada, too- than parking in the front lots of Epcot or taking a bus there.
