How far is it from Siesta Key to Caladesi Island?

My boys really want to shell and I know Caladesi is a great place for that, but it seems Siesta Key has great beaches and shark's teeth. Does anyone know of a beach near there that has both shells and shark's teeth, sand dollars and urchins?

According to Mapquest it's about 78 miles, about an hour and 40 minute drive.
