How far is Amway Arena from WDW?

Found out a favorite performer will be at Amway while we're at WDW, but have no idea if it is close or far away. We won't have a car - we'd have to cab it, and we're wondering if it's worth the hassle.

Anyone?

using yahoo - looks like 17.5 miles from Cypress Pointe to it.

I think a rental car might be cheaper.

When we take a cab from BWV to the airport, not sure of exact mileage, it's $50 plus a tip. With a round trip involved, it probably would be cheaper to get a car.

Because cabs run on meters, and traffic getting to the arena can be heavy and slow moving, you'd be better off getting a rental car for a day or have a car service take you there and back. The parking is generally $10.

With no traffic it's about a 30 minute drive from DTD. I'd plan on it taking an hour.

Which show are you going to see? I'll be shooting RHCP and the Nickelback/3DG/Breaking Benjamin shows coming up there.
