How far inadvanced can you book your trip?

We are planning a large trip (9-people-- to us is BIG ) in 2007. When would be a good time to call and set it up, we know we want WL and we know we want early FEB of 07. Will they reserve it, or tell me to call back in 2006. I know the rates change, so that is not a big deal (plus we will look for codes ). Any Thoughts?

I've booked trips as far as 2 years out. I enjoy the opportunity to dream about the great time that I will be having in 2 years. You just pay the current rack rate for the room for one night and that will hold the reservation.

Our group of 10 is going February of 2006. I made our plane reservations...but, just like this last February trip...I waited until the hotel "rates" (discounts) came out..Usually three to four months or so before. I had to wait out the 90 days to make the Segway tour and dinner reservations. It was quite a challenge to pull everything together...but I did...Now, it is becoming a "family" tradition......The plane fares are going up....Even though I purchased mine now...I bet I will get a surcharge on them before the year is out...

We were supposed to go in 2006 but decided to wait till our son was 5, so we want to plan for May 2007....we want to stay at the Poly. Can we go through a travel agent so far in advance or do we have to go directly through disney??

I called the other day to make our room only reservations for Sept 2006 and was told that they can't make the reservations until 500 days out that I should call back on May 4th. Since the cruise is booked I just wanted to get the room out of the way also. When I called and asked how far out you could book I was told by the CM 2 yrs but then when she went to process the booking stated it wasn't giving her sept 2006 as an option. She put me on hold and then came back stating the 500 day policy which she stated she wasn't previously aware of, though she did say the policy for packages was different.

ok so 500 days until Feb 07 is something like Nov 06??? (math was never my strong suit)...
